On Wednesday, Legal Insurrection<\/a> posted an article about a recent statement by former secretary of state John Kerry.<\/p>\n

While speaking at the World Economic Forum this week, former secretary of state John Kerry seemed to inadvertently admit that the issue of climate change is all about money.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It makes perfect sense. Climate change and all of the activism around it have become big business. All those private jets in the parking lot aren\u2019t going to pay for themselves.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the full quote:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m convinced we will get to a low-carbon, no-carbon economy \u2014 we\u2019re going to get there because we have to,\u201d he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI am not convinced we\u2019re going to get there in time to do what the scientists said, which is avoid the worst consequences of the crisis,\u201d he added.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd those worst consequences are going to affect millions of people all around the world, [in] Africa and other places. Of the 20 most affected countries in the world from [the] climate crisis, 17 are in Africa.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

In his remarks, Kerry also spoke about the task of keeping the goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius alive.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cSo, how do we get there? Well, the lesson I\u2019ve learned in the last years and I learned it as secretary [of State] and I\u2019ve learned it since, reinforced in spades, is: money, money, money, money, money, money, money. And I\u2019m sorry to say that.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Actually, I doubt that he is sorry to say that. How many government-subsidized green energy companies is he invested in? You did notice that the majority of the delegates (if not all) to the WEF in Davos flew there in private jets. Where is their effort to save the planet (other than to impose restrictions on the rest of us)?<\/p>\n
