{"id":48452,"date":"2022-12-14T11:47:06","date_gmt":"2022-12-14T16:47:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=48452"},"modified":"2022-12-14T11:47:06","modified_gmt":"2022-12-14T16:47:06","slug":"something-to-watch-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=48452","title":{"rendered":"Something To Watch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Monday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/judge-orders-kari-lake-and-katie-hobbs-to-appear-at-emergency-court-hearing-over-election-lawsuit_4920793.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Epoch Times<\/a> reported the following:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>A judge overseeing\u00a0Republican Arizona gubernatorial candidate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-kari-lake\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kari Lake<\/a>\u2019s electoral lawsuit ordered Lake, Secretary of State and Arizona Gov.-elect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-katie-hobbs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Katie Hobbs<\/a>, Maricopa County Board of Supervisors officials, and others to appear at a court hearing on Tuesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Judge Peter Thompson, in issuing the (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.democracydocket.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/CV2022095403-Order-to-App-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pdf<\/a>) order, wrote that the court has \u201creviewed\u201d Lake\u2019s \u201cverified statement of election contest\u201d and said the \u201cmatter will be set on an accelerated basis.\u201d Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer and Board of Supervisors Chairman Bill Gates were also ordered to attend the hearing, which will start at 2 p.m. ET.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>It comes as Lake stated Monday that her lawsuit is, in part, fueled by alleged whistleblower claims who have come forward.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cWe\u2019ve had three whistleblowers from Maricopa County reach out and say the system is seriously flawed,\u201d Lake <a href=\"https:\/\/justthenews.com\/government\/courts-law\/kari-lake-says-her-litigation-will-be-propelled-testimony-multiple\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> Just the News on Monday, days after the suit was filed with a Maricopa County court. \u201cThey were throwing out tens of thousands of signatures saying they were scribbles that in no way matched. But somewhere between there, the ballots were being completely tossed out and they got looped back into the system and counted as if they were fine.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Lake said that about 25,000 \u201cadditional ballots and early voting ballots were discovered two days after Election Day,\u201d adding that they \u201cjust showed up.\u201d She continued: \u201cIt shows the whole system has serious problems.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cWe believe that up to 135,000 ballots were pushed through that should not have been pushed through,\u201d Lake added, without elaborating. \u201cWe\u2019re asking a judge to let us take a look at all of the envelopes and compare signatures, so that we can find out for sure how many bad, fraudulent ballots got through in that way, of basically cheating or breaking the rules.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This case is important to Arizona, but it also important nationally. None of the evidence collected regarding problems with the 2020 election has ever made it into court. Admittedly, that horse has left the barn, but this case could mean that in the future, when there is rampant cheating in a national election, the evidence will at least be looked at.<\/p>\n<p>The article concludes:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Lake stated that long lines and printer issues adversely affected Election Day voters on Nov. 8. Maricopa officials that day confirmed there were printer errors and told voters to place their ballots inside dropboxes, while they later said no voters were disenfranchised.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cLake received the greatest number of votes and is entitled to be named the winner,\u201d her lawsuit claimed. \u201cAlternately, the election must be re-done in Maricopa County to eliminate the effects of maladminstration and illegal votes on the vote tallies reported by Maricopa County.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>In November, Lake also filed a public records request to seek additional information about both counted and uncounted ballots that might have been mixed during the election. Following the Nov. 8 midterms, she has also often posted videos of voters who gave accounts of long lines and other alleged election maladministration in Maricopa County.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Other than Lake,\u00a0Abe Hamadeh\u2014a Republican who is running for attorney general, and Mark Finchem\u2014a Republican running for secretary of state, filed separate lawsuits on Dec. 9.
