{"id":46035,"date":"2022-06-15T06:46:55","date_gmt":"2022-06-15T10:46:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=46035"},"modified":"2022-06-15T06:46:55","modified_gmt":"2022-06-15T10:46:55","slug":"the-plot-that-was-ignored","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=46035","title":{"rendered":"The Plot That Was Ignored"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Monday, <a href=\"https:\/\/ijr.com\/news-outlets-sunday-shows-alleged-plot-kill-kavanaugh-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Independent Journal Review<\/a> posted an article about the media silence about the attempted murder of Justice Brett Kavanaugh.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>It has not even been a week since an armed man was<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/06\/08\/us\/brett-kavanaugh-threat-arrest.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> arrested<\/a> after allegedly aborting an attempt to murder Justice <a href=\"http:\/\/ijr.com\/tag\/brett-kavanaugh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brett Kavanaugh<\/a>, and yet the story appears to have largely disappeared from the headlines.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Kevin Tober of the conservative Media Research Center\u2019s NewsBusters tracked the amount of time major news outlets\u2019 Sunday shows spent on the incident.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>According to Tober, ABC News spent zero minutes on the Kavanaugh story and 19 minutes and eleven seconds on the Jan. 6 committee hearings.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It may well be that the mainstream media is reluctant to report on the attempted murder of Justice Kavanaugh because too many Americans will remember the following statement by Senator Schumer (source of quote <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2022\/06\/schumers-reckless-threats-against-kavanaugh-and-gorsuch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>):<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cI want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price!\u201d Schumer shouted. \u201cYou won\u2019t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There was a time when that statement would have at least resulted in censure by the Senate, but in the current political paradigm, the statement was barely noted.
