{"id":45545,"date":"2022-05-07T15:34:49","date_gmt":"2022-05-07T19:34:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=45545"},"modified":"2022-05-07T15:34:49","modified_gmt":"2022-05-07T19:34:49","slug":"losing-civility-courtesy-of-the-white-house","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=45545","title":{"rendered":"Losing Civility Courtesy Of The White House"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Thursday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/psaki-says-there-is-no-official-u-s-government-position-on-activists-protesting-outside-scotus-justices-homes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Daily Wire<\/a> reported the following:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Thursday that there was no \u201cofficial U.S. Government position\u201d on where protesters chose to gather, even if that meant they were publishing the home addresses of sitting Supreme Court justices.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>After congratulating Psaki\u2019s incoming replacement Karine Jean-Pierre on being named President Joe Biden\u2019s next press secretary, Fox News\u2019 Peter Doocy turned to the topic of planned protests over the recently <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/i-am-angry-elizabeth-warren-loses-it-over-leaked-supreme-court-draft-axing-roe\/\">leaked early opinion draft<\/a>\u00a0indicating that the Supreme Court could be poised to <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/jen-psaki-wont-say-whether-biden-would-accept-roe-decision-as-legitimate\/\">overturn<\/a> landmark abortion cases\u00a0<em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Planned Parenthood v. Casey<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The article reports the following dialog:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cNot about yesterday, just about moving forward \u2014 these activists posted a map with the home addresses of the Supreme Court justices,\u201d Doocy said. \u201cIs that the kind of thing this president wants to help your side make their point?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cLook, I think the president\u2019s view is that there\u2019s a lot of passion, a lot of fear, a lot of sadness from many, many people across this country about what they saw in that leaked document,\u201d Psaki replied, saying again that the White House supported peaceful protest.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cHe doesn\u2019t care if they\u2019re protesting outside the Supreme Court or outside someone\u2019s private residence?\u201d Doocy asked.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cI don\u2019t have an official U.S. Government position on where people protest,\u201d Psaki replied. \u201cI want it \u2014 we want it of course to be peaceful \u2026 I think we shouldn\u2019t lose the point here, the reason people are protesting is because women across the country are worried about their fundamental rights that have been law for 50 years. Their rights to make choices about their own bodies and their own health care are at risk. That\u2019s why people are protesting \u2014 they\u2019re unhappy, they\u2019re scared.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When does protesting become harassment? How much violence is the political left willing to tolerate to move their agenda forward (think riots of the summer of 2020)? When the political left disrupted the Senate during the Kavanaugh hearings, how is that different from January 6th?
