I suppose this is no different than other public health campaigns, but the fact that this campaign was being waged while any information on negative effects of vaccines was being censored seems a little unfair. Why was the government pushing a vaccine that had not been in existence long enough to go through a rigorous testing protocol?<\/p>\n<p>The article notes:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>The government documents describing the media relations program were reported by The Blaze in an \u201cexclusive.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cIn response to a FOIA request filed by TheBlaze, HHS revealed that it purchased advertising from major news networks including ABC, CBS, and NBC, as well as cable TV news stations Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC, legacy media publications including the New York Post, the Los Angeles Times, and the Washington Post, digital media companies like BuzzFeed News and Newsmax, and hundreds of local newspapers and TV stations,\u201d The Blaze\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblaze.com\/news\/review-the-federal-government-paid-media-companies-to-advertise-for-the-vaccines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">story<\/a> notes. \u201cThese outlets were collectively responsible for publishing countless articles and video segments regarding the vaccine that were nearly uniformly positive about the vaccine in terms of both its efficacy and safety.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cHundreds of news organizations were paid by the federal government to advertise for the vaccines as part of a \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/wecandothis.hhs.gov\/resource\/we-can-do-campaign-background\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">comprehensive media campaign<\/a>,&#8217;\u201d according to documents TheBlaze obtained from the Department of Health and Human Services. \u201cThe Biden administration purchased ads on TV, radio, in print, and on social media to build vaccine confidence, timing this effort with the increasing availability of the vaccines. The government also relied on earned media featuring \u201cinfluencers\u201d from \u2018communities hit hard by COVID-19\u2019 and \u2018experts\u2019 like White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci and other academics to be interviewed and promote vaccination in the news.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When you know that our media can be bought, does it change your opinion about what to believe?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday Trending Politics reported that the U.S. government paid media outlets to convince Americans to be pro-vaccine.
