This was sent to me by a yoga student. Please read it with an open mind<\/strong><\/p>\n At 5pm today any staff member at Stonybrook hospital who filled a religious exemption will be suspended if we don\u2019t get the covid vaccine.\u00a0We will be on leave until 10\/12 when a federal judge hears the State\u2019s case and makes a ruling.\u00a0If the ruling is in favor of the mandate the staff will have 30 days starting 9\/27 to comply and get vaccinated or be terminated.<\/strong><\/p>\n \n Any staff who has not been vaccinated and did not request an exemption, depending on what union they are apart of will also be suspended for 1 month to comply.\u00a0After 1 month they will also be terminated.<\/strong><\/p>\n \n As much as this is terrible for the 1100 people at Stonybrook who are refusing the shot I actually feel bad for you the public.<\/strong><\/p>\n \n It is you who will suffer. Many are going to unfortunately die from lack of staff.\u00a0Our ER will cease to function.\u00a0As will all the hospitals across NYS.\u00a0Plus Nursing homes, home health aids, and psychiatric hospitals.\u00a0They are are all going to experience the same.<\/strong><\/p>\n \n Remember this if your family member dies from a heart attack, misses the window for TPA after a stroke, gets into a car accident, ect., it was the unelected ACTING governor who forced this.\u00a0And it was the CEO\u2019s of hospitals who implemented this.\u00a0People like Dr Edward Sun of Stonybrook hospital who advocated for this.\u00a0These are the people who will have your families blood on their hands.<\/strong><\/p>\n May God bless you all.\u00a0We are all in this fight together.<\/strong><\/p>\n \n Please pass this on to all your contacts and social media accounts as a public service announcement.message brief, friendly, and to the point.<\/strong><\/p>\n Stand up America for each other.
