{"id":43197,"date":"2021-09-16T14:40:14","date_gmt":"2021-09-16T18:40:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=43197"},"modified":"2021-09-16T14:40:14","modified_gmt":"2021-09-16T18:40:14","slug":"standing-up-to-educators","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=43197","title":{"rendered":"Standing Up To Educators"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/mayor-tells-school-board-resign-or-be-charged-with-child-porn-over-assignment-parents-erupt-in-applause?utm_source=facebook&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=mjk&amp;fbclid=IwAR1rtbe2o41UIGH3MK81CNlvbYr5faAjusvz440917NRRwNHCkmqX6So0Hg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Daily Wire<\/a> posted an article about Mayor Craig Shubert, a mayor in Ohio who demanded the resignation of his city&#8217;s school board.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>An Ohio mayor on Monday confronted a school board over sexual and inappropriate writing prompts students were given in class, informing board members they can either resign or face potential charges of child pornography.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Mayor Craig Shubert received wild applause from parents when he told board members he spoke to a judge who said the \u201c642 Things to Write About\u201d assignment amounted to the\u00a0distribution of \u201cessentially what is child pornography.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cIt has come to my attention that your educators are distributing essentially what is child pornography in the classroom,\u201d Mayor Shubert <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cleveland.com\/akron\/2021\/09\/hudson-mayor-craig-shubert-parents-call-for-resignation-of-hudson-school-board-teachers-after-students-receive-book-of-inappropriate-writing-prompts.html\">said<\/a> to the board. \u201cI\u2019ve spoken to a judge this evening and she\u2019s already confirmed that. So I\u2019m going to give you a simple choice: either choose to resign from this board of education or you will be charged.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>The writing prompts including sexual content like, \u201cwrite a sex scene you wouldn\u2019t show your mom,\u201d and \u201crewrite the sex scene from above into one that you\u2019d let your mom read.\u201d It is not clear whether the assignment rises to the level of a crime, though Shubert relayed that a judge believed it did.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>After Shubert\u2019s stern message, parents attending the school board meeting cheered loudly.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The article includes a list of the writing prompts the students were given.
