Yesterday Trending Politics<\/a> posted an article that answers some of that question.<\/p>\n The article reports:<\/p>\n Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said on Saturday that a Democratic infrastructure bill contains language and provisions that will direct the lion\u2019s share of taxpayer funds toward blue cities and states regardless of need elsewhere.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cWhen we start to look at it, no one\u2019s against roads and bridges working for them, but what they are against is the Washington, D.C., establishment actually spending their dollars on their behalf, but not necessarily their priorities,\u201d Meadows told Newsmax TV<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThe problem is about those priorities: Most of the money that they\u2019re talking about, actually will go to major metropolitan areas,\u201d Meadows added.<\/strong><\/p>\n It is quite possible that blue states and blue cities need more infrastructure money. These states have been mismanaged by the Democrats for years. However, it is the responsibility of the residents of those states and cities to elect responsible leaders–not the responsibility of the rest of the country to bail them out when their bad policies catch up to them.<\/p>\n The article continues:<\/p>\n “Some of these senators are just saying, \u2018Well, we want to do it; it sounds good, but it\u2019s really not going to hit the target,’\u201d Meadows, who was a GOP lawmaker from North Carolina before joining the Trump White House, continued.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cSo for me, it\u2019s about making sure that we have a different priority and that we don\u2019t spend money on the Green New Deal or some kind of human infrastructure,\u201d he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve got a new definition for infrastructure that, when I was a member of Congress, we never heard.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n In addition to major cities, all Democrat-run, being infrastructure priorities for the massive spending, middle-Americans are going to be hit with even more inflation that will act as a tax, he warned.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cIt is the failed policy of the Biden administration that\u2019s actually making us pay more at the grocery store, at the gas pump, on really anything that we\u2019re looking at,\u201d Meadows said.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cYou look at those inflation indicators, it\u2019s all because they\u2019re printing money. And what are the Democrats want to do? They want to print more of it,\u201d he told Newsmax TV.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cEventually you run out of other people\u2019s money.
