R. <mark class=\"searchterm-highlight\" data-markjs=\"true\">484<\/mark>\r\n\r\n To prohibit the use of Federal funds for the commemoration of certain \r\n               former Presidents, and for other purposes.\r\n\r\n\r\n_______________________________________________________________________\r\n\r\n\r\n                    IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES\r\n\r\n                            January 25, 2021\r\n\r\nMs. Sanchez (for herself, Ms. Schakowsky, Mrs. Napolitano, Mr. Danny K. \r\nDavis of Illinois, Mr. Carson, Ms. Escobar, Ms. Lee of California, Mr. \r\n Blumenauer, Mrs. Hayes, Mr. Gallego, Mr. Connolly, Mr. Lowenthal, Ms. \r\nWilliams of Georgia, and Ms. Chu) introduced the following bill; which \r\nwas referred to the Committee on Oversight and Reform, and in addition \r\n    to the Committees on Transportation and Infrastructure, Natural \r\n Resources, Armed Services, and Veterans' Affairs, for a period to be \r\nsubsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration \r\n  of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee \r\n                               concerned\r\n\r\n_______________________________________________________________________\r\n\r\n                                 A BILL\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n To prohibit the use of Federal funds for the commemoration of certain \r\n               former Presidents, and for other purposes.\r\n\r\n    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the \r\nUnited States of America in Congress assembled,\r\n\r\nSECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.\r\n\r\n    This Act may be cited as the ``No Glory for Hate Act''.\r\n\r\nSEC. 2. FEDERAL FUNDS RESTRICTION ON COMMEMORATING CERTAIN FORMER \r\n              PRESIDENTS.\r\n\r\n    Notwithstanding section 3102 of title 40, United States Code, no \r\nFederal funds may be used to--\r\n            (1) create or display any symbol, monument, or statue \r\n        commemorating any former President that has been twice \r\n        impeached by the House of Representatives on or before the date \r\n        of enactment of this Act or has been convicted of a State or \r\n        Federal crime relating to actions taken in an official capacity \r\n        as President of the United States on Federal public land, \r\n        including any highway, park, subway, Federal building, military \r\n        installation, street, or other Federal property; or\r\n            (2) name, designate, or redesignate a Federal building or \r\n        Federal land after, or in commemoration of, any former \r\n        President that has been twice impeached by the House of \r\n        Representatives on or before the date of enactment of this Act \r\n        or has been convicted of a State or Federal crime relating to \r\n        actions taken in an official capacity as President of the \r\n        United States.\r\n\r\nSEC. 3. RESTRICTION OF FEDERAL FUNDS FOR PROPERTY BEARING THE NAME OF \r\n              CERTAIN FORMER PRESIDENTS.\r\n\r\n    Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no Federal funds or \r\nother Federal financial assistance may be provided to a State, \r\npolitical subdivision thereof, or entity if any such funds or financial \r\nassistance will be used for the benefit of any building, land, \r\nstructure, installation, or any other property that bears the name, or \r\nis named or designated in commemoration of, any former President that \r\nhas been twice impeached by the House of Representatives on or before \r\nthe date of enactment of this Act or has been convicted of a State or \r\nFederal crime relating to actions taken in an official capacity as \r\nPresident of the United States.\r\n\r\nSEC. 4. FORMER PRESIDENTS ACT RESTRICTION.\r\n\r\n    Notwithstanding any provision of the Act entitled ``An Act to \r\nprovide retirement, clerical assistants, and free mailing privileges to \r\nformer Presidents of the United States, and for other purposes'', \r\napproved August 25, 1958 (3 U.S.C. 102 note; commonly known as the \r\n``Former Presidents Act of 1958''), any former President that has been \r\ntwice impeached by the House of Representatives on or before the date \r\nof enactment of this Act or has been convicted of a State or Federal \r\ncrime relating to actions taken in an official capacity as President of \r\nthe United States is not entitled to receive any benefit, other than \r\nSecret Service protection, under such Act.\r\n\r\nSEC. 5. PROHIBITION OF BURIAL OF CERTAIN FORMER PRESIDENTS.\r\n\r\n    Section 7722(a) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by \r\nadding at the end the following:\r\n    ``(3) In carrying out paragraphs (1) and (2), the Secretary of \r\nDefense shall not approve a determination of eligibility for interment \r\nor inurnment in Arlington National Cemetery made by the Secretary of \r\nthe Army that permits the interment or inurnment in Arlington National \r\nCemetery of any former President that has been twice impeached by the \r\nHouse of Representatives on or before the date of enactment of this Act \r\nor has been convicted of a State or Federal crime relating to actions \r\ntaken in an official capacity as President of the United States.''.\r\n                                 &lt;all&gt;<\/pre>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Will the pettiness every stop?
