{"id":40368,"date":"2020-11-05T21:19:11","date_gmt":"2020-11-06T02:19:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=40368"},"modified":"2020-11-05T21:19:11","modified_gmt":"2020-11-06T02:19:11","slug":"the-need-to-count-all-of-the-votes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=40368","title":{"rendered":"The Need To Count All Of The Votes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/justthenews.com\/politics-policy\/elections\/absentee-military-ballots-remain-uncounted-key-states-advocacy-group-says\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Just the News<\/a> posted an article today about one aspect of ballot counting in this election that I have not yet seen mentioned&#8211;the absentee military ballots.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Military ballots for the 2020 presidential election remain uncounted in a number of key swing states, a spokesperson for a voter advocacy group told Just the News.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>One state that could make a difference is Georgia, said a spokesperson for <a href=\"https:\/\/counteveryhero.org\/\">Count Every Hero<\/a>, a group that advocates to make sure that ballots from overseas military personnel are counted.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>In 2016, overseas military voters cast 5,203 votes in Georgia, according to the organization.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>&#8230;Other states also have significant numbers of uncounted military ballots, the group said. They include the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Nevada, which\u00a0counts service members&#8217; ballots that arrive by Nov. 10. In 2016, overseas military members and their families cast 2,677 votes.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>North Carolina, which\u00a0counts military ballots that arrive by Nov. 12. As of Wednesday night, 4,200 of those ballots had not been tallied.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Pennsylvania, which counts military ballots that arrive by Nov. 10. As of Wednesday morning, 10,478 of those ballots remained uncounted.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The article concludes:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Arizona, Michigan and Wisconsin counts overseas military ballots that arrive by Election Day.
