{"id":39773,"date":"2020-08-20T13:08:53","date_gmt":"2020-08-20T17:08:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=39773"},"modified":"2020-08-20T13:08:53","modified_gmt":"2020-08-20T17:08:53","slug":"how-about-a-level-playing-field","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=39773","title":{"rendered":"How About A Level Playing Field?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2020\/08\/goodyear-bans-employees-wearing-lives-matter-blue-lives-matter-maga-slogans-says-black-lives-matter-allowed\/?utm_source=Facebook&amp;utm_campaign=websitesharingbuttons&amp;fbclid=IwAR0ckWOVjSYqgaOLtnie0n1dZVRB8JCc-MV9SM33nn5Nod-SmGb9mRQr2pQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Gateway Pundit<\/a> (in an article posted Tuesday), the following slide is from a Goodyear diversity training:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/GoodyearDiversityTraining.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-39774\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/GoodyearDiversityTraining-300x268.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"399\" height=\"358\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/GoodyearDiversityTraining-300x268.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/GoodyearDiversityTraining-336x300.jpg 336w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 399px) 100vw, 399px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t understand why Black Lives Matter (BLM) is okay and Blue Lives Matter and All Lives Matter are not. If they want to ban political slogans, I can understand that, but Blue Lives Matter and All Lives Matter are not any more political than Black Lives Matter.<\/p>\n<p>The article notes:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Goodyear did not respond to the station\u2019s ( <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wibw.com\/2020\/08\/18\/goodyear-employees-say-new-no-tolerance-policy-is-discriminatory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WIBW<\/a>) inquiries about whether or not the slide came from their main office, but said that they allow associates to support \u201cracial injustice,\u201d but not advocacy that falls \u201coutside the scope of equality issues.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cGoodyear is committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace where all of our associates can do their best in a spirit of teamwork. As part of this commitment, we do allow our associates to express their support on racial injustice and other equity issues but ask that they refrain from workplace expressions, verbal or otherwise, in support of political campaigning for any candidate or political party as well as other similar forms of advocacy that fall outside the scope of equity issues.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Again, I think Blue Lives Matter and All Lives Matter are equity issues and thus fall under the guidelines.
