Yesterday The Daily Wire<\/a> posted an article about the Delaware debut of the Biden-Harris ticket. Since there are those who constantly accuse President Trump of lying and needing to be fact checked, Tim Graham, the author of the article, decided to fact-check the roll out of the campaign.<\/p>\n

Here is a list of eight of the major untruths he found:<\/p>\n

1. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence have given us \u201cfour years of mismanagement and coddling of terrorists and thugs around the world,\u201d Biden said. Did Trump \u201ccoddle\u201d Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State group? No, he\u2019s dead. Did Trump \u201ccoddle\u201d Iranian terrorist Gen. Qassem Soleimani? He\u2019s dead, too. Biden opposed taking down Osama bin Laden, so he should sit a spell.<\/strong><\/p>\n

2. Trump has no \u201cplan\u201d for the pandemic. He has \u201cno real help for the states and local governments trying to fill the vacuum of leadership from the White House, no real help for children and educators, for small businesses and front-line workers,\u201d Biden said. We didn\u2019t allocate $3 trillion to mitigate the pandemic, aiding governments and businesses and vaccine development?<\/strong><\/p>\n

3. Trump was accused of referring to neo-Nazis and racists when he said, \u201cThere are very fine people on both sides\u201d of the 2017 Charlottesville protests. This is transparently false \u2026 and yet, fact-checkers like PolitiFact go limp and let Biden unspool this lie. Reporters at the time prodded Trump, and he explicitly condemned the neo-Nazis and racists.<\/strong><\/p>\n

4. Trump is \u201con track to leave office with the worst jobs record of any American president in modern history.\u201d In January, FactCheck.org reported, \u201cThe economy added 6.7 million jobs, and unemployment fell to the lowest rate in half a century.\u201d We\u2019re now in a pandemic that shocked the economy, but the economy is recovering. Does anyone think the \u201cfact-checkers\u201d would let a Republican blame the Democrats for the economy if this were to happen under a President Hillary Clinton?<\/strong><\/p>\n

5. Kamala Harris said: \u201cThe president\u2019s mismanagement of the pandemic has plunged us into the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. \u2026 He inherited the longest economic expansion in history \u2026 And then, like everything else he inherited, he ran it straight into the ground.\u201d Did Democrats oppose the lockdown kicking and screaming? Shouldn\u2019t they share responsibility for it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

6. Harris insisted, \u201cAfter the most competitive primary in history, the country received a resounding message that Joe was the person to lead us forward.\u201d That\u2019s a joke. There were a huge number of candidates, but it didn\u2019t end up competitive at all, in part because of the pandemic. It certainly didn\u2019t match Obama vs. Clinton in 2008.<\/strong><\/p>\n

7. Harris said, \u201cI cannot wait for America to get to know my husband, Doug, and our amazing kids, Cole and Ella.\u201d Our? Facebook labels claims like this as having \u201cMissing Context.\u201d They\u2019re Harris\u2019 stepkids from her 2014 marriage to Doug Emhoff, and they\u2019re 26 and 21 years old.<\/strong><\/p>\n

8. Speaking of terrible context, Harris tried to compare the coronavirus pandemic to the Ebola outbreak of 2014: \u201cBarack Obama and Joe Biden did their job. Only two people in the United States died. Two. That is what\u2019s called leadership.\u201d These are apples and oranges in epidemiology. Ebola is much deadlier than the coronavirus. But the spread isn\u2019t nearly the same, since Ebola is not infectious until you have symptoms, and you\u2019re quickly bedridden.<\/strong><\/p>\n
