{"id":38386,"date":"2020-03-14T16:18:07","date_gmt":"2020-03-14T20:18:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=38386"},"modified":"2020-03-14T16:18:07","modified_gmt":"2020-03-14T20:18:07","slug":"common-sense-has-entered-the-building","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=38386","title":{"rendered":"Common Sense Has Entered The Building"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Wednesday <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/03\/11\/white-house-executive-order-buy-american-coronavirus-medical-supply-chain-china\/?fbclid=IwAR1mLhXi-6XIhRNJmSTl3KxaZoHdrphK15bbdkbVom8t7GgwWZlNGEb_wSU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Daily Caller<\/a> posted an article with the following headline, &#8220;\u2018Buy American\u2019 \u2014 White House Confirms Executive Order That Will End Medical Supply Chain Reliance On China.&#8221; China is the last country in the world we want to be dependent on for drugs.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>White House Director of Trade and Manufacturing Policy Peter Navarro confirmed Wednesday the administration is working on an executive order to eliminate the government\u2019s reliance on foreign-made medical supplies.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>The \u201cBuy American\u201d order comes on the heels of concerns expressed by senators during their Tuesday meeting with President Donald Trump on Capitol Hill.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>&#8230;The order would prevent federal agencies from purchasing medical supplies, including face masks, gloves and ventilators, from China.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>As the United States has battled the domestic spread of coronavirus, consumers were alerted to the fact that China manufactures an overwhelming percentage of the federal government\u2019s medical equipment. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/03\/11\/business\/economy\/coronavirus-china-trump-drugs.html\">90 percent of all U.S. antibiotics were manufactured in China<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>China has prevented the export of surgical face masks, severely limiting supplies in the U.S. and countries around the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under the Trump administration, we have gained energy independence.
