Just as an aside, Russia has always interfered in our elections–they don’t care who wins–they just want to disrupt things and hopefully cause Americans to lose faith in the electoral process. Unfortunately they have been more successful at times than I would have liked.<\/p>\n

House Democrat lawmakers pushing the allegation that the Kremlin is trying to help Trump \u201cmisheard or misinterpreted\u201d the intelligence community\u2019s formal assessment of ongoing U.S. election interference by the Russians, unnamed U.S. officials suggested<\/a> to the New York Times.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) has described the assertion that Russia is trying to help Sanders as \u201cfalse<\/a>,\u201d lambasting Trump for repeating it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Echoing the U.S. intelligence and national security officers who spoke to CNN and the Times<\/em>, White House national security adviser Robert O\u2019Brien<\/a> and Vice President Mike Pence\u2019s chief of staff Marc Short<\/a>\u00a0denied the ODNI official\u2019s claim that Russia is interfering in the 2020 presidential election to aid Trump\u2019s re-election.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nevertheless, Democrat lawmakers continue to claim that Russia is interfering<\/a> in the U.S. elections on behalf of Trump.<\/strong><\/p>\n

President Trump has called for an investigation into a possible leak of classified intelligence unveiled during the briefing on election interference, accusing Schiff<\/a>\u00a0of leaking the information.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What needs to happen here is that the person who leaked whatever information was leaked needs to be prosecuted for leaking.<\/p>\n
