On Thursday, The Washington Times<\/a> posted an article about President Trump’s naming of Richard Grenell as the new acting director of national intelligence. The political left is complaining about the nomination, claiming that Ambassador Grenell is not qualified. The article reports that when Leon Panetta was chosen by President Obama to lead the CIA, Panetta had no intelligence experience.<\/p>\n

The article notes:<\/p>\n

What\u2019s wrong is Grenell<\/a> is pro-Trump<\/a> and he\u2019s being appointed to head an agency with a deep state reputation filled with deep state resentments about this president. The left is panicked about the potential for light to shine on their anti-Trump<\/a> \u2014 anti-American \u2014 covert activities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

So they\u2019re pretending as if Grenell<\/a> isn\u2019t the right guy for the job based on his experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cGrenell<\/a> \u2026 is known to be fiercely loyal to Trump<\/a>, but critics have noted that he has no background in intelligence and no top-level management experience,\u201d NPR reported<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And this, from ex-FBI agent Clint Watts, on Twitter: \u201cGrennell as DNI can only be seen<\/a> as a way for Trump<\/a> to achieve confirmation bias for his conspiracies & block real analysis and true assessments of threats. Not a serious nominee. How much tax payer money will be used to run down nonsense?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

And this, interestingly enough, from Iran Press: \u201cTrump<\/a> names<\/a> incompetent person as acting spy chief.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The article concludes:<\/p>\n

Grenell<\/strong><\/a>, at least, is an ambassador \u2014 somebody who has to deal with national security issues while navigating complicated, oft-conflicting waters, while calming and soothing and wheeling-and-dealing with a variety of personalities, all expressing a variety of interests. In other words: Grenell<\/a> is somebody who at least has some hands-on experience doing exactly what intel folk do.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But Grenell<\/a> is pro-Trump<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And that\u2019s why the deep state and globalist elites deem him unqualified.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If Panetta<\/a> was qualified as CIA<\/a> chief, Grenell<\/a> is more than qualified as acting director of national intelligence.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Friday, The Conservative Treehouse<\/a> reported:<\/p>\n

Kash Patel previously worked as Devin Nunes\u2019 senior staffer on the House Intelligence Committee (HPSCI).\u00a0 It was Patel who was the lead author of the Nunes memo exposing corrupt conduct of the FBI and DOJ officials during Crossfire Hurricane.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Patel joined the National Security Council\u2019s International Organizations and Alliances directorate last February and was promoted to the senior counterterrorism role at the NSC mid-summer 2019.\u00a0 According to recent reporting Patel is now joining Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell as a Senior Advisor and Catherine Herridge is reporting the objective is to \u2018clean house<\/em>\u2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I wonder how much of this ‘housecleaning’ is going to put some members of Congress in a very bad light. Bring it on!<\/p>\n
