{"id":37985,"date":"2020-01-16T11:48:29","date_gmt":"2020-01-16T16:48:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=37985"},"modified":"2020-01-16T11:48:29","modified_gmt":"2020-01-16T16:48:29","slug":"really-tacky","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=37985","title":{"rendered":"Really Tacky"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/01\/15\/nancy-pelosi-uses-more-than-a-dozen-commemorative-pens-to-sign-sad-articles-of-impeachment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Breitbart<\/a> reported the following yesterday:<\/p>\n<p class=\"subheading\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) declared herself \u201csad\u201d as she used more than a dozen commemorative pens to sign the two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Wednesday evening.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>The occasion was \u201cso sad, so tragic for our country,\u201d Pelosi told reporters, noting the \u201cdifficult time in our country\u2019s history.\u201d She then approached a table that had been prepared with the documents, and two dishes full of pens for her to use \u2014 about half a dozen pens in each.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Pelosi then sat and signed the articles, one for \u201cabuse of power\u201d and one for \u201cobstruction of Congress.\u201d She applied each pen, paused every few seconds, switched pens, and then continued.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>The two dishes were swapped out and replaced with two new ones after the first article of impeachment had been signed \u2014 presumably, different pens for different articles.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Despite pronouncing herself \u201csad,\u201d Pelosi <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SpeakerPelosi\/status\/1217574757241147400\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external noreferrer\">smiled<\/a> throughout the signing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>She then handed out the pens to leaders of the Democratic Party caucus in the House, including House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Rep.
