NPR has been often criticized for having a liberal bias.<\/p>\n<p>The article cites one example of bias:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Recently, NPR was one of a string of media outlets that published stories <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbusters.org\/blogs\/nb\/kristine-marsh\/2019\/11\/20\/shocker-media-retract-reports-after-un-uses-obama-era-data\">hyping United Nations data<\/a> that showed 100,000 migrant children being held in detention centers. One problem though: the stories were deleted after the data was revealed to have been from 2015, during former President Barack Obama\u2019s (D) presidency. In September, NPR was also one of two taxpayer-funded outlets (the other being PBS), that interviewed Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA) and failed to question his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbusters.org\/blogs\/nb\/tim-graham\/2019\/09\/27\/pbs-npr-interview-schiff-fail-ask-about-his-false-parody-trump\">false \u201cparody\u201d<\/a> of President Donald Trump\u2019s July 25th phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The article includes the following chart:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/NPRDonations.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-37742\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/NPRDonations.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"753\" height=\"473\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/NPRDonations.png 753w, https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/NPRDonations-300x188.png 300w, https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/NPRDonations-478x300.png 478w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 753px) 100vw, 753px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Just for the record, the Foundation to Promote Open Society is a George Soros organization.<\/p>\n<p>Most American media leans left, so this is not a surprise, but there are many listeners to NPR who believe they are getting unbiased news while they are actually getting misinformation. A strong republic depends on honest news sources.
