In an interview, Ms. Abrams admitted that a possible outcome of her gun control plans could be that \u201cpeople would turn their guns in.\u201d That is her opinion. It contradicts the Second Amendment, but that is her opinion.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Abrams began by telling host Jake Tapper that \u201cAR-15s are not necessary on our streets.\u201d She then called for more gun control \u201csemiautomatic weapons\u201d in general. She did not mention that semiautomatic handguns like Glock, Kimber, Ruger, Walther, Sig Sauer, Smith &amp; Wesson, Springfield Armory, etc., are the go-to choice for concealed carry and self-defense. Rather, she simply called for new controls for firearms with semiautomatic actions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Tapper reminded the viewing audience that Abrams co-sponsored Georgia HB 731 on January 2016. He pointed out that Abrams\u2019 co-sponsors admitted the bill would \u201crequire gun owners of these particular models to turn their guns in.\u201d (Breitbart News reported that HB 731 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2018\/10\/24\/stacey-abrams-sponsored-bill-to-ban-and-seize-commonly-owned-semiautomatic-firearms\/\">designated<\/a> certain commonly owned semiautomatic firearms as contraband and required the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to seize them from their owners.)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, another<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2018\/11\/04\/armed-black-panthers-lobby-for-democrat-gubernatorial-candidate-stacey-abrams\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Breitbart<\/a> article shows members of the New Black Panther Party wielding weapons and holding signs supporting Democrat gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.
