Since he became <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"President of the United States\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/President_of_the_United_States\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener wikipedia\">President<\/a>, President Trump has freed <em><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">seventeen<\/span><\/strong><\/em> American prisoners detained by foreign governments.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>\u201cWe\u2019ve had 17 released, and we\u2019re very proud of that record. Very proud. And we have others coming,\u201d Trump said Saturday evening as he welcomed home Joshua Holt, an <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Citizenship of the United States\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Citizenship_of_the_United_States\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener wikipedia\">American citizen<\/a> who had been detained in <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Venezuela\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=10.5,-66.9666666667&amp;spn=0.1,0.1&amp;q=10.5,-66.9666666667 (Venezuela)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation noopener\">Venezuela<\/a> for two years without trial.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Unlike his predecessor, the president has managed to bring these prisoners home <a href=\"http:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2017\/11\/16\/trump-is-right-he-should-get-credit-for-bringing-imprisoned-americans-home\/\">without<\/a> freeing terrorists or paying millions of dollars in suspected ransom payments.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The article lists the people brought home and the circumstances of their becoming prisoners in foreign countries.
