The Daily Caller<\/a> posted an article today about some recent statements by Virginia<\/a> Senator Mark Warner<\/a>. Senator Warner is the top Democrat<\/a> on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The article reports:<\/p>\n

The top Democrat on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence acknowledged in a recent interview that contacts between Trump campaign<\/a> associates and Russians could be \u201ca set of coincidences\u201d rather than collusion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m reserving my final judgement until we\u2019ve seen all the witnesses we need to see, and we\u2019ve gotten all the facts. So I\u2019m going to hold off,\u201d Virginia Sen. Mark Warner said in an interview<\/a> with The New Yorker<\/a>\u2019s David Remnick<\/a> when asked whether he believes that Trump associates conspired with the Kremlin to influence the 2016 presidential election.<\/strong><\/p>\n

…\u201cI\u2019m anxious for this to come to a conclusion,\u201d Warner said of the investigation, adding that he is \u201chopeful\u201d that the committee will be able to release sections of its final report every 30 to 45 days.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The committee plans to release four separate reports about various aspects of its investigation. The first, which dealt with election security, was released earlier this week.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence<\/a> has already released a report on its own Russia investigation. The report said that investigators found no evidence of collusion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Thursday, May 10, CNN<\/a> posted the following:<\/p>\n

I hate to be cynical here, but I believe that Senator Warner is simply responding to what his internal polls are telling him–Americans are beginning to realize that Mueller’s investigation was a sham from the beginning. I suspect you will hear more Democrats become reluctant to accuse President Trump of anything as his popularity ratings soar. It is going to be an interesting summer–for many reasons.<\/p>\n
