Remember the GoFundMe<\/a> page set up by Andrew McCabe<\/a>? Well, there was more to it than GoFundMe–it wasn’t really about the money.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Gateway Pundit<\/a> posted an article yesterday detailing some of the people behind setting up the fund.<\/span><\/p>\n

The article reports:<\/span><\/p>\n

The campaign, which has raised $554,520, ceased taking donations on April 2nd.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

In response to the outpour of support, McCabe issued<\/a> the following statement:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThe outpouring\u00a0of support on GoFundMe has been simply overwhelming and has led to contributions that have left us stunned and extraordinarily grateful.\u00a0The GoFundMe campaign began organically, with generous people spontaneously giving to accounts that others had set up. I never imagined that I would need to rely on this type of assistance. The fact is that if I am going to continue taking a stand against the unfair way I have been treated, I will need the help of a talented and courageous team behind me,\u201d the statement read.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cHopefully our efforts, fueled by your incredible support, will encourage others to stand up for themselves, and the truth, as well. It is not lost on me that each contribution reflects not just someone\u2019s well wishes, but also their acknowledgement that something in this situation is not fair or just.\u00a0We wish to thank every donor from the bottom of our hearts for your support.\u201d<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>The article at The Gateway Pundit cites a report from a website called Law & Crime<\/a>. That website states:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Was this apparent \u201cgrassroots effort\u201d actually a PR campaign<\/a> put together by high-priced, well-connected, and experienced PR professionals in order to take advantage of the #Resistance\u2019s seething anger at the Trump administration? A Monday report in\u00a0Slate<\/i><\/a>\u00a0suggested as much.\u00a0Law&Crime<\/i>\u00a0can now confirm that some of those allegations are true, while some of them appear to oversell the issues at hand. [\u2026]<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Melissa Schwartz<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0is a crisis and communications consultant who currently works for The Bromwich Group. After previously working for then-Senator\u00a0Barbara Mikulski,<\/i> the Department of Justice<\/a>, and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement<\/a> (where she served under her once-and-future boss),\u00a0Schwartz joined The Bromwich Group as their chief operating officer in 2012<\/a>. She\u2019s also McCabe\u2019s present spokesperson.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The Bromwich Group<\/a>\u00a0is a K Street consulting and PR firm headed by\u00a0Michael R. Bromwich<\/a><\/i>. Immediately prior to founding the firm, Bromwich served as the first director of the\u00a0Bureau of Ocean Energy Management<\/a> under President\u00a0Barack Obama<\/i>.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

It seems that the corruption and cover-ups always lead back to the same inner circle.<\/span><\/p>\n
