The Arab Spring began as a movement that was supposed to bring freedom to some of the dictatorships in the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Middle East\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=29.0,41.0&amp;spn=1.0,1.0&amp;q=29.0,41.0 (Middle%20East)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation noopener\">Middle East<\/a>. Unfortunately, what it brought was governments controlled by the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Muslim Brotherhood\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ikhwanonline.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage noopener\">Muslim Brotherhood<\/a> and the attempted implementation of Sharia Law. Egypt is a prime example of that although they were able to get out from under the rule of the Muslim extremists.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>The \u201cArab Spring,\u201d as it was dubbed, was a series of protests across the Middle East that initially showed a growing resistance to tyranny and oppression of dictators throughout the region. In a rare regional uprising, the people of the Islamic world seemed to have had enough with dictatorship and oppression.<span id=\"more-96051\"><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Only, they didn\u2019t get freedom when they toppled these dictators.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The article notes that Glenn Beck (during his last month on Fox News) predicted the rise of the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Caliphate\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Caliphate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener wikipedia\">Islamic Caliphate<\/a>. He was mocked for this prediction, which turned out to be accurate.<\/p>\n<p>The article at The Federalist shows the role that <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Hillary Clinton\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hillary_Clinton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener wikipedia\">Hillary Clinton<\/a> played in the destabilization of the Middle East that led to the rise of the Islamic Caliphate. The article includes a memo detailing her involvement.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>The United States government is believed to have utilized a program called the Alliance of Youth Movements Summit, co-founded by a close Hillary Clinton adviser, to provide networking opportunities for an activist plotting to overthrow Egyptian leader <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Hosni Mubarak\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hosni_Mubarak\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener wikipedia\">Hosni Mubarak<\/a> several years before the \u201cArab Spring\u201d protests that led to widespread regime change in the Middle East.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Through the Alliance of Youth Movements Summit, the U.S. learned that the Muslim Brotherhood was supportive of a plan to overthrow Mubarak. The U.S.-supported Muslim Brotherhood later briefly ruled Egypt after Mubarak\u2019s ouster.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>It is important to recognize that the program was created before Clinton took office as Secretary of State, but she continued with it, and apparently not in a way that promoted peaceful protest in the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>On November 18, 2008, two weeks after <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"WhiteHouse.gov\" href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage noopener\">Barack Obama<\/a> was elected U.S. president, the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States Department of State\" href=\"https:\/\/www.state.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage noopener\">U.S. State Department<\/a> announced the first Alliance of Youth Movements Summit at <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Columbia Law School\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=40.8069444444,-73.9602777778&amp;spn=0.01,0.01&amp;q=40.8069444444,-73.9602777778 (Columbia%20Law%20School)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation noopener\">Columbia Law School<\/a> in New York City. A permanent group called the Alliance of Youth Movements (AYM) was developed by Summit leaders after the first Summit convened.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Bush State Department official Jared Cohen, listed as the \u201cinternational press contact\u201d for the Summit, described some goals of the conference before it convened in December.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please follow the link above to read the entire article.
