I am sure the list will be at Thomas.gov tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>The article lists some of the comments made by the Representatives:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>However, some House Republicans voiced\u00a0their\u00a0reservations over the budget, with Rep.\u00a0<a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"John Faso\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/John_Faso\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener\">John Faso<\/a> (N.Y.) <a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/house\/357304-house-adopts-senate-budget-steps-toward-tax-reform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stating<\/a> he couldn&#8217;t support the bill due to the\u00a0elimination of\u00a0the SALT deduction.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>\u201cWe must provide middle-class tax relief and lower the burdens on job-creating small businesses. I could not, however, vote in support of a budget resolution that singled out for elimination the ability of New York families to deduct state and local taxes,\u201d Faso said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States House Committee on Ways and Means\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/United_States_House_Committee_on_Ways_and_Means\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener\">House Ways and Means Committee<\/a> Chairman Kevin Brady (R-<a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Texas\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=31.0,-100.0&amp;spn=10.0,10.0&amp;q=31.0,-100.0 (Texas)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation noopener\">Texas<\/a>) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2017\/10\/26\/house-passes-4t-budget-in-step-forward-for-trump-tax-plan.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">called<\/a> the bill&#8217;s passing a \u201clegislative runway for pro-growth tax reform.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>&#8220;Our successful vote will allow us to move forward quickly on delivering the first overhaul of <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=38.8833333333,-77.0166666667&amp;spn=0.1,0.1&amp;q=38.8833333333,-77.0166666667 (United%20States)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation noopener\">America<\/a>&#8216;s tax code in more than three decades,\u201d Brady added.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Rep. <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"John Yarmuth\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/John_Yarmuth\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener\">John Yarmuth<\/a> (D-Ky.)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/politics\/house-gop-moves-to-pass-budget-start-tax-debate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>\u00a0the planned\u00a0tax cuts \u201cwill not a create an economic boom, but will instead lead to a higher concentration of wealth among the rich, while dramatically increasing deficits and debt.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I would like to make a comment on the elimination of the SALT (state and local taxes) deduction. Why in the world should fiscally responsible states be subsidizing fiscally irresponsible states? That is what the SALT deduction does. As for the Democrats&#8217; constant cry of &#8216;tax cuts for the rich,&#8217; the rich are the people who pay taxes, why shouldn&#8217;t they get a tax cut? As I have reported numerous times, the top 10 <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Percentage\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Percentage\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener\">percent<\/a> of income earners, those having an <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Adjusted gross income\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Adjusted_gross_income\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener\">adjusted gross income<\/a> over $138,031, pay about <a href=\"https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/yddvee2o\">70.6 percent<\/a> of <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Income tax in the United States\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Income_tax_in_the_United_States\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener\">federal income taxes<\/a>. About 1.7 million Americans, less than 1 percent of our population, pay 70.6 percent of federal income taxes. These numbers come from actual <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"www.irs.gov\" href=\"http:\/\/www.irs.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage noopener\">IRS<\/a> data.
