{"id":31576,"date":"2017-09-18T19:32:38","date_gmt":"2017-09-18T23:32:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=31576"},"modified":"2017-09-18T19:32:38","modified_gmt":"2017-09-18T23:32:38","slug":"the-hate-group-supposedly-naming-the-hate-groups","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=31576","title":{"rendered":"The Hate Group Supposedly Naming The Hate Groups"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The following video was posted on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jb2ueXLLktE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a> on September 12th:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jb2ueXLLktE\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Southern Poverty Law Center\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Southern_Poverty_Law_Center\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener\">Southern Poverty Law Center<\/a> (SPLC) has been linked to two shootings in <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Washington (state)\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=47.5,-120.5&amp;spn=3.0,3.0&amp;q=47.5,-120.5 (Washington%20%28state%29)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation noopener\">Washington<\/a>. The shooting at the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Family Research Council\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Family_Research_Council\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener\">Family Research Council<\/a> in 2012 was linked to the SPLC having declared them a hate group and there were some questions as to whether the gunman who shot <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Steve Scalise\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Steve_Scalise\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener\">Steve Scalise<\/a> was influenced by the SPLC. At any rate, when we start declaring organizations <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Hate group\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hate_group\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener\">hate groups<\/a>, we need to be careful. The problem with declaring groups hate groups or speech <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Hate speech\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hate_speech\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener\">hate speech<\/a> is that it involves very subjective judgement on the part of the person making the declaration.<\/p>\n<p>The SPLC has every <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Right to exist\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Right_to_exist\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener\">right to exist<\/a> and state their views. It is the responsibility of those who hear those views to do their own research and draw their own conclusions. As Dr. Swain noted, the SPLC has done nothing for the poor. So what is their actual purpose?
