{"id":31505,"date":"2017-09-06T06:54:24","date_gmt":"2017-09-06T10:54:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=31505"},"modified":"2017-09-06T06:54:24","modified_gmt":"2017-09-06T10:54:24","slug":"lets-look-at-some-facts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=31505","title":{"rendered":"Let&#8217;s Look At Some Facts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While everyone in Washington is screaming that DACA (<a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Deferred_Action_for_Childhood_Arrivals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener\">Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals<\/a>) should be repealed, let&#8217;s look at some of the facts about <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"WhiteHouse.gov\" href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage noopener\">President Obama<\/a>&#8216;s <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Executive order\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Executive_order\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener\">Executive Order<\/a> that began the program.<\/p>\n<p>From <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=t53EBSqlLIc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/t53EBSqlLIc\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>When DACA was originally enacted, Paul Ryan and other Republicans agreed that it was an illegal executive overreach. They criticized it frequently. Now they are criticizing President Trump for ending it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.redstate.com\/streiff\/2017\/09\/01\/one-simple-reason-paul-ryan-wants-keep-daca-alive-well\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Red State<\/a> has a very logical explanation for this change of heart:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>The reason for the inaction is pretty banal. If Ryan convinces Trump to leave DACA intact, he gets his caucus through 2018 without having to cast a vote to either grant \u201camnesty\u201d so some 800,000 illegals or to okay the deportation of some 800,000 people who are pretty much <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=38.8833333333,-77.0166666667&amp;spn=0.1,0.1&amp;q=38.8833333333,-77.0166666667 (United%20States)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation noopener\">American<\/a> in outlook. If Trump pulls the plug on DACA, then Ryan has to decide which hurts his caucus more: acting or not acting. Neither of those options is going to sell all that well.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>What Ryan said is utter gibberish. Congress has uncontested power to regulate immigration and naturalization. The President is charged with faithfully executing the laws. DACA is a violation of that charge. Congress is part of the solution; in fact, Congress is the whole solution. Unfortunately, Paul Ryan wants Congress to continue being part of the problem and he wants cover from Trump to do it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Congress has lost the ability to do anything but worry about its own re-election. We should take that worry away from them by voting them out of office.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/big-government\/2017\/09\/05\/2139-daca-recipients-convicted-or-accused-of-crimes-against-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Breitbart<\/a> posted an article yesterday about some of the people DACA has allowed to remain in America.<\/p>\n<p>The article includes the following:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Below, <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Breitbart News\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Breitbart_News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener\">Breitbart News<\/a>\u00a0has compiled a list of 50 of the 2,139 DACA recipients, deemed \u201c<a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"DREAM Act\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/DREAM_Act\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener\">DREAMers<\/a>\u201d by the open borders lobby,\u00a0who have had their temporary protected status <a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/big-government\/2017\/08\/29\/dhs-repatriating-daca-amnesty-criminals\/\">revoked<\/a> due to crimes including: \u201cA\u00a0felony criminal conviction; a significant misdemeanor conviction; multiple misdemeanor convictions; gang affiliation; or arrest of any crime in which there is deemed to be a public safety concern,\u201d according to the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States Citizenship and Immigration Services\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uscis.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage noopener\">United States Citizenship and Immigration Services<\/a> (USCIS) agency.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>The majority of crimes by DACA recipients include: \u201c<a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"People smuggling\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/People_smuggling\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener\">Alien smuggling<\/a>, assaultive offenses, domestic violence, drug offenses, DUI, larceny and thefts, criminal trespass and burglary, sexual offenses with minors, other sex offenses and weapons offenses,\u201d USCIS has stated.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Do we really want these people in our country?<\/p>\n<p>The adults who were brought here as children are a unique problem, but DACA is not the correct answer. Congress should actually do something constructive. The best way to handle this would be to begin to document who the &#8216;dreamers&#8217; are and begin a path to citizenship for those who are actually contributing to the welfare of America. It would also be necessary to end &#8216;chain migration&#8217; for the dreamers. I would allow those people brought here as children to stay, but I would prohibit them from receiving government benefits and from bringing their relatives here. Any dreamer convicted of a crime should be sent back to their home country, regardless of whether or not they have a relationship with that country. If you won&#8217;t respect our laws, you can&#8217;t stay here.<\/p>\n<p>The dreamers are already here.&#8211;you can&#8217;t put toothpaste back in the tube, but America should not have to support them.
