John Hinderaker<\/a> at Power Line Blog<\/a> posted an article today about the cancelled 2017 Arctic expedition<\/a> of the University of Manitoba<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The article reports:<\/p>\n

The University of Manitoba has canceled its 2017 Arctic expedition because there is too much ice to execute the mission safely. The U of M headlines<\/a>: \u201cLarge Canadian Arctic climate<\/a> change study cancelled due to climate change<\/a>.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

So too much ice is the result of climate change? I thought we were concerned about global warming<\/a>. Generally speaking, global warming does not result in more ice.<\/p>\n

After explaining how the extreme ice conditions made the expedition impossible, the University of Manitoba explains:<\/p>\n

This experience, and climate change conditions currently affecting Churchill<\/a>, Man., clearly illustrates that Canada<\/a> is ill prepared to deal with the realities of climate change.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Someone needs to explain to these scientists that the climate<\/a> has been changing constantly (and cyclically) since earth began. I refuse to believe climate predictions from people who have been consistently wrong for more than forty years. Does anyone remember ‘the coming ice age<\/a>‘ headlines of the seventies?<\/p>\n
