On Friday The Washington Times<\/a> reported that the two illegal immigrants<\/a> charged with raping<\/a> a classmate in Rockville High School<\/a> in Maryland<\/a> in March have had the charges<\/a> against them dismissed.<\/p>\n

The article reports:<\/p>\n

\u201cMontgomery County State\u2019s Attorney<\/a> John McCarthy told a judge Friday that after an investigation, authorities are dropping rape and sex offense<\/a> counts against 17-year-old Jose Montano, who was charged as an adult,\u201d the Daily Mail<\/a> reported<\/a>. \u201cHe and 18-year-old Henry Sanchez<\/a>, both of who were in the U.S. illegally, were charged in the alleged assault of the girl at Rockville High School in March.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

McCarthy also said his office was dropping charges against Sanchez, for the same reason \u2014 no evidence.<\/strong><\/p>\n

His statement, to reporters, was blunt: \u201cThe facts in this case do not support the original charges filed,\u201d he said, the news outlet reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is, however, some good news here. The article reports that both suspects still face charges tied to possession and distribution of child pornography.<\/p>\n
