They are manipulating the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Voting\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Voting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener noreferrer\">voting<\/a> to exclude <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Jews\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/20121127021212\/http:\/\/www.jafi.org.il:80\/JewishAgency\/English\/Home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage noopener noreferrer\">Jews<\/a> from the process.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.algemeiner.com\/2017\/04\/09\/jewish-community-at-tufts-university-deeply-disturbed-by-surprise-bds-resolution-brought-for-vote-days-before-passover\/\"> At Tufts<\/a>, a group called <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Students for Justice in Palestine\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Students_for_Justice_in_Palestine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener noreferrer\">Students for Justice in Palestine<\/a> decided to place an <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Criticism of the Israeli government\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Criticism_of_the_Israeli_government\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener noreferrer\">anti-Israel<\/a> divestment resolution on the school senate\u2019s agenda on the evening before the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Jewish holidays\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jewish_holidays\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener noreferrer\">Jewish holiday<\/a> of <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Passover\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Passover\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener noreferrer\">Passover<\/a>, at a time when many Jewish students would be unable to attend the student government meeting. More than 50 students emailed their \u201csenators\u201d urging them to postpone the vote until after the Jewish holiday. The senate ignored their request.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A number of\u00a0Jewish, Christian, education, and civil rights groups have sent a letter to <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Anthony Monaco\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Anthony_Monaco\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener noreferrer\">Anthony Monaco<\/a>, president of Tufts, protesting the way the vote was held. Their list of remedies is included in the Power Line article.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately this story does have a happy ending.<\/p>\n<p>The article at Power Line includes an update:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong> I\u2019m happy to report, via a Tufts alum, that the Trustees have voted not to change Tufts\u2019 investment policy.
