Does the group oppose the idea of honest elections?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/freebeacon.com\/issues\/soros-funded-group-chaired-elizabeth-warrens-daughter-fighting-voter-integrity-lawsuits\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Washington Free Beacon<\/a> posted an article today about group that is opposing voter integrity lawsuits. Oddly enough, one of the leaders of the group is <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Elizabeth Warren\" href=\"http:\/\/www.law.harvard.edu\/faculty\/directory\/index.html?id=82\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Senator Elizabeth Warren<\/a>&#8216;s daughter. The group is funded by George Soros.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Demos, a <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"New York City\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/New_York_City\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">New York City-based<\/a> progressive public policy organization, is assisting unions in pushing back against election lawsuits filed in <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"North Carolina\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=35.5,-80.0&amp;spn=3.0,3.0&amp;q=35.5,-80.0 (North%20Carolina)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">North Carolina<\/a> and <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Florida\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=28.1,-81.6&amp;spn=3.0,3.0&amp;q=28.1,-81.6 (Florida)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Florida<\/a>. The group is also writing letters of interest in another lawsuit in Pennsylvania. Amelia Warren Tyagi, Warren&#8217;s daughter, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.demos.org\/board-trustees\" target=\"_blank\">chairs<\/a> the board of Demos.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF), an Indiana-based legal group that litigates to protect election integrity, filed a <a href=\"https:\/\/publicinterestlegal.org\/files\/VIP-NC-v.-Wake-County-Board-of-Elections-Complaint.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">lawsuit<\/a> against Wake County, N.C., on behalf of Voter Integrity Project NC, a research organization dedicated to fair elections, after the county had failed to accurately maintain their voter rolls.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>&#8230;&#8221;According to publicly-available data, Wake County has more registered voters on the rolls eligible to cast a ballot than it has citizens who are alive,&#8221; PILF <a href=\"https:\/\/publicinterestlegal.org\/files\/Press-Release-July-18-2016.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">wrote<\/a>. &#8220;The complaint states that \u2018voter rolls maintained by the Defendant for Wake County contain or have contained more registrants than eligible voting-age citizens. The number of registrants in <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Wake County, North Carolina\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=35.79,-78.65&amp;spn=1.0,1.0&amp;q=35.79,-78.65 (Wake%20County%2C%20North%20Carolina)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Wake County, North Carolina<\/a> has been over 100 percent of eligible voting-age citizens.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>A motion to dismiss the lawsuit was filed February 21 by the Wake County Board of Elections and three attorneys. Senior U.S. Judge W. Earl Britt ruled in favor of the Voter Integrity Project and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/339940936\/DOc-37-Order-Denying-MTD\" target=\"_blank\">denied<\/a> the request.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Cameron Bell (rugby league)\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cameron_Bell_%28rugby_league%29\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Cameron Bell<\/a>, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.demos.org\/cameron-bell-0\" target=\"_blank\">legal fellow<\/a> at Demos, is assisting the attorneys on the case. One of the main goals of Demos is to reduce the role of money in politics and to guarantee &#8220;the freedom to vote,&#8221; according to its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.demos.org\/about-demos\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>. Demos received <a href=\"https:\/\/www.opensocietyfoundations.org\/about\/programs\/us-programs\/grantees\/demos-0\" target=\"_blank\">hundreds of thousands<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.opensocietyfoundations.org\/about\/programs\/us-programs\/grantees\/demos\" target=\"_blank\">funding<\/a> from George Soros&#8217; Open Society Foundation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Individuals from the Southern Coalition for Social Justice, a progressive nonprofit in North Carolina, are also assisting on the lawsuit. The Southern Coalition for Social Justice has also received <a href=\"https:\/\/www.opensocietyfoundations.org\/about\/programs\/us-programs\/grantees\/southern-coalition-social-justice\" target=\"_blank\">funding<\/a> from Soros.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I will admit to being a fairly simple person, but it seems to me that if a county has more registered voters than it has live citizens, there might be a problem with the voter rolls. It would also be interesting to know what the percentage of actual voters was. I would like to note that in the 2016 presidential election, the early voting turnout in Wake County broke all previous records (story <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wral.com\/record-breaking-early-voting-turnout-highest-in-wake-county-history\/16200572\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>). Since most voter fraud occurs in early voting and same-day registration, that is an interesting statistic.<\/p>\n<p>The article further reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Broward County, Florida\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=26.124354,-80.249503&amp;spn=1.0,1.0&amp;q=26.124354,-80.249503 (Broward%20County%2C%20Florida)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Broward County (Florida)<\/a>, like Wake County, has more registered voters on their rolls than the number of eligible citizens who can vote in 2014, PILF <a href=\"https:\/\/publicinterestlegal.org\/files\/Broward-Press-Release.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Cameron Bell, the Demos attorney who is involved in North Carolina, also interjected in Broward County. In addition to Bell, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.demos.org\/scott-novakowski\" target=\"_blank\">Scott Novakowski<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.demos.org\/stuart-naifeh\" target=\"_blank\">Stuart C. Naifeh,<\/a> counsel from Demos, are involved in Florida.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Individuals from Project Vote, a nonprofit that formerly teamed up with the scandal-plagued and now <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2010\/03\/23\/acorn-shut-wake-scandal.html\" target=\"_blank\">defunct<\/a> <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Association_of_Community_Organizations_for_Reform_Now\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now<\/a> (ACORN), are also in Broward County.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Demos and Project Vote additionally wrote amici in a Philadelphia <a href=\"https:\/\/publicinterestlegal.org\/files\/1-Complaint-ACRU-v.-Philadelphia.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">lawsuit<\/a> but has not intervened.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>&#8220;Just like when leftist financiers tried and failed to block <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Voter ID laws in the United States\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Voter_ID_laws_in_the_United_States\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">voter ID laws<\/a> from coast to coast, the checkbooks are open again to preserve the status quo were poor record maintenance is concerned,&#8221; Logan Churchwell, PILF&#8217;s spokesman, told the <em>Washington Free Beacon<\/em>. &#8220;When you view vulnerability as currency, it must come natural to want to protect not only the weaknesses in a system, but the actors who exacerbate them.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Democrats have <a href=\"http:\/\/freebeacon.com\/politics\/democrats-quickly-build-massive-network-combat-voter-id-laws\/\" target=\"_blank\">scrambled to build up a massive network<\/a> to counter voter integrity efforts after Donald Trump&#8217;s victory over Hillary Clinton.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Voters are disenfranchised when there is voter fraud. It is time for Americans to take action to protect the integrity of their elections. Voter ID laws are needed.
