Kennedy\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/John_F._Kennedy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">John F. Kennedy<\/a> after he was killed:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>On November 29th, a week after JFK was killed and four days after he had been laid to rest in Arlington Cemetery beneath an eternal flame lit by his widow and brothers &#8211; a flame that still burns today &#8211; the newly widowed <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jacqueline_Kennedy_Onassis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Jacqueline \u00a0Kennedy<\/a> summoned the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Pulitzer Prize\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pulitzer.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Pulitzer Prize winning<\/a> author <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Theodore H. White\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Theodore_H._White\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Theodore H. White<\/a> to the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Kennedy Compound\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=41.62998,-70.3023598333&amp;spn=0.01,0.01&amp;q=41.62998,-70.3023598333 (Kennedy%20Compound)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Kennedy Compound<\/a> in <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Hyannis Port, Massachusetts\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=41.6319444444,-70.3027777778&amp;spn=0.01,0.01&amp;q=41.6319444444,-70.3027777778 (Hyannis%20Port%2C%20Massachusetts)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Hyannis Port, Massachusetts<\/a>. White, who had won his Pulitzer for writing <em><a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"The Making of the President 1960\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Making-President-1960-Theodore-White\/dp\/0224607804%3FSubscriptionId%3D0G81C5DAZ03ZR9WH9X82%26tag%3Dzem-20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3D0224607804\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"amazon\">The Making of the President 1960<\/a><\/em>, the groundbreaking book on JFK\u2019s winning presidential campaign, dutifully responded, notebook in hand.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>White was not selected by accident. He had become an admirer and friend of the young President. He was a friendly journalist. The new widow chose him specifically because she had something she wanted to say for history &#8211; something she wanted to accomplish. And she wanted White to do it for her in the pages of arguably the most famous publication of the day \u2014 <em>Life<\/em> magazine.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>&#8230;Why is this important to recall now? While the term had not yet been invented in 1963, what Mrs. Kennedy was doing \u2014 \u00a0with the ready acquiescence of Theodore White and Life magazine \u2014 \u00a0was creating the media narrative of JFK\u2019s presidency. Today the liberal media does this all the time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The article goes on to contrast the way that the mainstream media treated <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"WhiteHouse.gov\" href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">President Obama<\/a> with the way the mainstream media is treating President Trump.<\/p>\n<p>There were some very obvious lies told by President Obama. Five of the more obvious lies are listed by conservative author Jack Cashill in the <a href=\"http:\/\/nypost.com\/2014\/09\/13\/how-falsehoods-and-fibs-have-shaped-the-obama-presidency\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>New York Post<\/em><\/a> all the way back there in 2014:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>My father left my family when I was two-years old<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8230;\u201c<strong>The Fast and Furious program was a field-initiated program begun under the previous administration<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>&#8230;There was \u201cNot even a smidgen of corruption\u201d in the Obama administration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8230;\u201c<strong>We revealed to the American people exactly what we understood at the time<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8230;\u201c<strong>Transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Please follow the link above to read the entire article with the explanations of the lies.<\/p>\n<p>These are obvious lies, yet the media never called President Obama on his lies. The article reminds us:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>But what is the liberal media narrative <em>Time<\/em> \u2014 and other outlets \u2014 are pumping out there? The Obama presidency was fabulous.He was young, glamorous, literate, and oh so smart. The economy roared along. The world respected us. The eight years of Obama were like those three years of the Kennedy Camelot. And most importantly of all? The president told the truth.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fast forward to the media reporting about President Trump. The article reminds us that today at least we have the alternative media to help us find the truth:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>So here we go again. Trump lies is the new media narrative. This is nothing more than the latest way to attack not only Trump but the newest Republican president. It succeeds the liberal media narrative about <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"George W. Bush\" href=\"http:\/\/www.georgewbush.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">President Bush<\/a> 43 (\u201cBush lied! People died!\u201d) and the liberal media narrative of Mitt Romney. Romney, recall, was portrayed as having killed a steel workers wife by denying her health care! He beat up a gay kid! He was cruel to his dog! And on and on it goes, all the way back to 1964 GOP nominee Barry Goldwater and his alleged affection for the Nazis. (Really!)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=38.8833333333,-77.0166666667&amp;spn=0.1,0.1&amp;q=38.8833333333,-77.0166666667 (United%20States)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">America<\/a> is a long, long way from that sad week in November of 1963 when a grieving First Lady made it her business to set the media (and history\u2019s) narrative about her late husband. What\u2019s changed is that creating liberal media narratives is a full time occupation \u00a0(obsession?) for today\u2019s liberal media.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>The difference between 1963 and today is that there is a conservative media around to correct the record.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday Newsbusters posted an article that beautifully illustrates how the media shapes our opinion.
