I received an email this morning talking about the 28th Amendment.  While the email had some really good ideas in it, snopes<\/a> declared it “mostly false.”  I checked it, and it is partially false, but the idea behind it is valid.  Follow the link to snopes after you read this.<\/p>\n

I reported on April 15th (rightwinggranny.com<\/a>) that Jim DeMint an amendment to the U. S. Constitution that would limit the terms of Senators and Representatives in Congress.  That is true.  Unfortunately, the email had many other suggestions that might be good, but were not included in Senator DeMint’s article.<\/p>\n

If you receive an email that starts off saying:<\/p>\n

1. Term Limits. <\/span><\/strong>
12 years only, one of the possible options below.. <\/span><\/strong>
A. Two Six-year Senate terms <\/span><\/strong>
B. Six Two-year House terms <\/span><\/strong>
C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

2. No Tenure \/ No Pension. <\/span><\/strong>
A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
