On May 25, 2016, <a href=\"http:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/guybenson\/2016\/05\/25\/cbs-uncovers-voter-fraud-in-la-n2168330\" target=\"_blank\">Townhall.com<\/a> posted an article about voter fraud in <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Los Angeles\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=34.05,-118.25&amp;spn=0.1,0.1&amp;q=34.05,-118.25 (Los%20Angeles)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Los Angeles<\/a>. The story illustrates why voter identification laws are necessary.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>A comparison of records by David Goldstein, <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Investigative journalism\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Investigative_journalism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">investigative reporter<\/a> for CBS2\/KCAL9, has revealed hundreds of so-called dead <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Voting\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Voting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">voters<\/a> in <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Southern California\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=34.0,-117.0&amp;spn=0.01,0.01&amp;q=34.0,-117.0 (Southern%20California)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Southern California<\/a>, a vast majority of them in <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Los Angeles County, California\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=34.05,-118.25&amp;spn=1.0,1.0&amp;q=34.05,-118.25 (Los%20Angeles%20County%2C%20California)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Los Angeles County<\/a>. \u201cHe took a lot of time choosing his candidates,\u201d said Annette Givans of her father, John Cenkner. <em>Cenkner died in <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Palmdale, California\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=34.5811111111,-118.100555556&amp;spn=0.1,0.1&amp;q=34.5811111111,-118.100555556 (Palmdale%2C%20California)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Palmdale<\/a> in 2003. Despite this, records show that he somehow voted from the grave in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2010. But he\u2019s not the only one. CBS2 compared millions of voting records from the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Secretary of State of California\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Secretary_of_State_of_California\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">California Secretary of State<\/a>\u2019s office with death records from the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Social Security Administration\" href=\"http:\/\/www.socialsecurity.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Social Security Administration<\/a> and found hundreds of so-called dead voters. <\/em>Specifically, 265 in Southern California and a vast majority of them, 215, in Los Angeles County alone. The numbers come from state records that show votes were cast in that person\u2019s name after they died. In some cases, Goldstein discovered that they voted year after year.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>This one local reporter, using this one method, uncovered <em>hundreds<\/em> of dead voters in just one small corner of the country &#8212; some of whom &#8220;voted year after year&#8221; after their <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Death\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Death\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">deaths<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I wonder how many dead people will vote for Hillary Clinton.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a story from May 2016, but it is very relevant to today&#8217;s events.
