{"id":28604,"date":"2016-06-24T21:36:26","date_gmt":"2016-06-25T01:36:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=28604"},"modified":"2016-06-24T21:36:26","modified_gmt":"2016-06-25T01:36:26","slug":"hypocrisy-at-its-worst","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=28604","title":{"rendered":"Hypocrisy At Its Worst"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In 2013, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2013\/02\/04\/congress-gun-ownership-survey\/1891191\/\" target=\"_blank\">USA Today <\/a>posted the results of a survey taken of members of <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States Congress\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=38.8897222222,-77.0088888889&amp;spn=0.01,0.01&amp;q=38.8897222222,-77.0088888889 (United%20States%20Congress)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Congress<\/a> that owned guns. Oddly enough, many of those <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Democratic Party (United States)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.democrats.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Democrats<\/a> (26 or so) were involved in the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Sit-in\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sit-in\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">sit-in<\/a> protesting the fact that Congress was not willing to pass any laws impacting current <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Gun politics\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gun_politics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">gun laws<\/a>. As I have previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=28594\" target=\"_blank\">mentioned<\/a>, the Democrats <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Filibuster\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Filibuster\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">filibustered<\/a> two of the gun laws that were introduced, staged the sit-in, and used the sit-in as an opportunity to raise money. A website called<a href=\"http:\/\/heatst.com\/politics\/26-of-the-democrats-who-participated-in-the-gun-control-sit-in-own-guns\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Heatstreet<\/a> has the full story.<\/p>\n<p>We need to be very careful about passing any legislation that limits <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"The Second Amendment\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Second-Amendment-David-Barton\/dp\/0925279773%3FSubscriptionId%3D0G81C5DAZ03ZR9WH9X82%26tag%3Dzem-20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3D0925279773\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"amazon\">the Second Amendment<\/a> rights of Americans.
