Accusations are flying as to who is responsible for the pending government shutdown. The thing to keep in mind as the feathers (and other things) fly is that Congress is required by law to pass the budget by October 1. If you remember, on October 1, 2010, the House, the Senate, and the Presidency were all controlled by the Democrat party. They chose not to pass a budget for fear of thier ideas impacting the coming election in a negative way. After the election they somehow never got around to passing a budget, even though they were the majority party until January 2011. Any shutdown is the responsibility of the Democrat Congress that did not pass a budget. Why then is there a media campaign to blame John Boehner?<\/p>\n
Today’s Daily Caller<\/a> reports:<\/p>\n “A group of Washington, D.C. residents say they plan to leave their trash at House Speaker John Boehner’s house in the event of a government shutdown, an action their Facebook page says is retribution for the loss of city services a shutdown would cause.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Why not leave the trash at the White House or at Harry Reid’s house? <\/p>\n The group said that if the shutdown occurs, they will list Speaker Boehner’s address on Facebook so that people know where to bring their trash.<\/p>\n I am totally offended by this group’s actions. First of all, they are placing blame where it doesn’t belong, second of all, they are acting like petulant children.
