Yesterday CBS Local<\/a> in Boston reported that incendiary devices<\/a> were found attached to National Grid<\/a> power lines in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Firefighters were called to wooded area off 60 Locust Avenue<\/a> Wednesday afternoon for\u00a0a small brush fire under some high-tension lines<\/a>. After it was put out, they noticed something unusual hanging from the wires.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cCrews that responded to the scene noticed items that didn\u2019t appear to be part of the transmission system and alerted National Grid. National Grid assessed the situation and alerted law enforcement,\u201d FBI Special Agent<\/a> in Charge Harold Shaw said in a statement Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

State Police<\/a> and FBI bomb technicians found \u201cmultiple incendiary devices similar in structure to pipe bombs in the area.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

At a press conference Thursday afternoon, FBI\u00a0Assistant Special Agent in Charge Peter Kowenhoven said the devices were cylindrical metal objects and that they needed to be \u201cmanually activated,\u201d but would not say how many authorities found.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThere was some pre-planning in this,\u201d said Kowenhoven of the FBI. \u201cThese devices were home-made.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
