{"id":27793,"date":"2016-03-13T14:46:22","date_gmt":"2016-03-13T18:46:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=27793"},"modified":"2016-03-13T14:46:22","modified_gmt":"2016-03-13T18:46:22","slug":"voter-fraud-is-a-problem-in-america","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=27793","title":{"rendered":"Voter Fraud Is A Problem In America"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/arizonadailyindependent.com\/2016\/03\/12\/true-the-vote-uncovers-ohio-voter-fraud\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Arizona Daily Independent<\/a> posted a story yesterday about voter fraud in Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.truethevote.org\/\">True the Vote<\/a>\u00a0(TTV), the nation\u2019s leading voters\u2019 rights and election integrity organization,\u00a0today announced details surrounding its effort to help Cuyahoga and Franklin County officials in Ohio remove more than a thousand duplicate <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Voter registration\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Voter_registration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">voter registrations<\/a> ahead of voting in 2016.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Upon receipt of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.truethevote.org\/\">True the Vote\u2019s<\/a> research, 711 duplicate voter registrations were removed in <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Cuyahoga County, Ohio\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=41.54,-81.66&amp;spn=1.0,1.0&amp;q=41.54,-81.66 (Cuyahoga%20County%2C%20Ohio)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Cuyahoga County<\/a>, while 465 sets were processed in Franklin County.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>\u201cBecause of Ohio\u2019s consistent role as a decisive <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Swing state\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Swing_state\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">swing state<\/a> in America\u2019s elections, it has a duty to ensure that its voter records are in the best shape possible,\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/www.truethevote.org\/\">True the Vote<\/a> Founder Catherine Engelbrecht said.\u201cHaving duplicate voters in Ohio\u2019s poll books not only creates confusion at the polling place, but raises the possibility of fraudulent double voting. <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Ohio\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=41.1219998333,-80.6839998333&amp;spn=0.01,0.01&amp;q=41.1219998333,-80.6839998333 (Ohio)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">The Buckeye State<\/a> has recently seen first-hand just how far some are willing to go to see their candidate or cause win.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The article lists one of the organizations responsible for the problem:<\/p>\n<p><strong>The <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Association_of_Community_Organizations_for_Reform_Now\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now<\/a> (<a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"ACORN\" href=\"http:\/\/www.acorn.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">ACORN<\/a>) held a well-established track record of supplying local election officials with questionable voter registration forms across <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Midwestern United States\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Midwestern_United_States\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Midwestern<\/a> and other political battleground states for years. The organization boasted more than 1.3 million voter registrations submitted in 2008 alone. After its formal dissolution, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2010\/11\/26\/acorn-workers-convicted-admitted-guilt-election-fraud.html\">18 employees<\/a> were convicted or admitted guilt to committing election crimes. Significant amounts of their work were officially questioned:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>In Ohio, a Cleveland man claimed he was given money and goods to register to vote dozens times, <a href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/blog\/the-complete-guide-to-acorn-voter-fraud\/?singlepage=true\">resulting<\/a> in subpoenas;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>In Indiana, more than <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2008\/POLITICS\/10\/09\/acorn.fraud.claims\/?iref=hpmostpop\">2,000 applications<\/a> were falsified as part of a batch delivered hours before the registration deadline; and<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>In Florida, 11 ACORN workers were arrested after <a href=\"http:\/\/nypost.com\/2009\/09\/10\/acorn-ucopia-of-voter-cheats-busted\/\">submitting<\/a> roughly 1,400 applications with approximately 900 of those falsified.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>True The Vote originally sued the State of Ohio in August 2012 over allegations of voter roll maintenance failures. Three counties had more registered voters than voting-age residents. The suit was settled in 2014, and duplicate registrations removed.
