Security Council<\/a> resolutions, comes a day after the international community\u2019s nuclear watchdog organization disclosed that it is\u00a0prohibited\u00a0by the nuclear agreement from publicly reporting on potential violations by Iran.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Iranian leaders now say that they are poised to walk away from the deal if the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=38.8833333333,-77.0166666667&amp;spn=10.0,10.0&amp;q=38.8833333333,-77.0166666667 (United%20States)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">United States<\/a> and other global powers fail to advance the Islamic Republic\u2019s \u201cnational interests.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>\u201cIf our interests are not met under the nuclear deal, there will be no reason for us to continue,\u201d Abbas Araqchi, Iran\u2019s deputy foreign minister, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.farsnews.com\/newstext.aspx?nn=13941218001208\" target=\"_blank\">warned<\/a> during remarks delivered to a group of Iranian officials in <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Tehran\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=35.6961111111,51.4230555556&amp;spn=0.1,0.1&amp;q=35.6961111111,51.4230555556 (Tehran)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Tehran<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>\u201cIf other parties decide, they could easily violate the deal,\u201d Araqchi was\u00a0quoted\u00a0as saying by Iran\u2019s state-controlled media. \u201cHowever, they know this will come with costs.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So, if I understand this correctly, the deal will only stay in place if it advances Iran&#8217;s interests. Please explain to me how we got into a deal with people with that attitude. It seems to me that a deal should advance the interests of all parties involved. I think we need new negotiators.<\/p>\n<p>The article further reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Meanwhile, the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States Department of State\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=38.8941666667,-77.0483333333&amp;spn=0.01,0.01&amp;q=38.8941666667,-77.0483333333 (United%20States%20Department%20of%20State)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">U.S. State Department<\/a> had difficulty Monday explaining why the nuclear agreement limits public reporting by the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"International Atomic Energy Agency\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=48.2338888889,16.4161111111&amp;spn=0.01,0.01&amp;q=48.2338888889,16.4161111111 (International%20Atomic%20Energy%20Agency)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">International Atomic Energy Agency<\/a>, or IAEA, on potential deal violations by Iran.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Yukiya Amano\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Yukiya_Amano\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Yukiya Amano<\/a>, the IAEA\u2019s chief, disclosed on Monday that his agency is no longer permitted to release details about <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Nuclear program of Iran\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nuclear_program_of_Iran\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Iran\u2019s nuclear program<\/a> and compliance with the deal. The limited public reporting is a byproduct of the nuclear agreement, according to Amano.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>When asked about these comments again Tuesday, a State Department official told the <em>Free Beacon<\/em> that the IAEA\u2019s reports would continue to provide a complete picture of Iran\u2019s nuclear program, though it remains unclear if this information will be made publicly available.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On February 1st, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.military.com\/daily-news\/2016\/02\/01\/iran-100b-in-assets-fully-released-under-nuclear-deal.html\" target=\"_blank\">military.com<\/a> reported:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Iran said Monday it now has access to more than $100 billion worth of frozen overseas assets following the implementation of a landmark nuclear deal with world powers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Government spokesman Mohammad Bagher Nobakht said much of the money had been piling up in banks in China, India, Japan, South Korea and Turkey since international sanctions were tightened in 2012 over Tehran&#8217;s nuclear program.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Iran&#8217;s semi-official ISNA news agency meanwhile quoted central bank official Nasser Hakimi as saying nine <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Banking and insurance in Iran\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Banking_and_insurance_in_Iran\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Iranian banks<\/a> are now reconnected to SWIFT, a Belgian-based cooperative that handles wire transfers between financial institutions.
