The National Endowment of the Humanities is the reason we have in northern Nevada every January a cowboy poetry festival. Had that program not been around, the tens of thousands of people who come there every year would not exist.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As an inquiring mind, I would like to know what goes on at the Cowboy Poetry Festival so that without the Festival &#8220;<em>the tens of thousands of people who come there every year would not exist.&#8221;<\/em>&nbsp; Is this something that should be investigated?&nbsp; How is one Cowboy Poetry Festival responsible for the existence of tens of thousands of people?&nbsp; Is this the cure&nbsp;for the lack of growth in the American population?&nbsp; How many cowboy poets does it take to create tens of thousands of people?&nbsp; Wow.&nbsp; Poetry must be much more popular (and interesting)&nbsp;than I had realized.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>John Hinderaker at Power Line&nbsp;provided me with a statement that I consider yesterday&#8217;s quote of the day.
