One of the things to keep in mind as you prepare to vote in your state’s primary election<\/a> is that elections have consequences. The Daily Signal<\/a> posted an article today about the decline in economic freedom<\/a> during the Obama Administration. The Heritage Foundation<\/a> posted a more complete article.<\/p>\n

The Heritage Foundation reports:<\/p>\n

According to the 2016 Index of Economic Freedom<\/a>, an annual publication<\/a> by The Heritage Foundation, America<\/a>\u2019s economic freedom has tumbled. With losses of economic freedom in eight of the past nine years, the U.S. has tied its worst score ever, wiping out a decade of progress.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The U.S. has fallen from the 6th freest economy in the world, when President Barack Obama<\/a> took office, to\u00a011th place<\/a> in 2016. America\u2019s declining score in the index is closely related to rapidly rising government spending<\/a>, subsidies, and bailouts<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Economic freedom creates prosperity across the board. Without economic freedom there is no incentive to achieve. When there are no rewards for achievement, there is less achievement.<\/p>\n
