{"id":27208,"date":"2015-12-23T19:36:39","date_gmt":"2015-12-24T00:36:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=27208"},"modified":"2015-12-23T19:36:39","modified_gmt":"2015-12-24T00:36:39","slug":"one-state-takes-action","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=27208","title":{"rendered":"One State Takes Action"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2015\/12\/23\/federal-judge-rules-utah-can-defund-planned-parenthood\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Daily Caller<\/a> is reporting today that on Tuesday a federal judge ruled that <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Utah\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=39.5,-111.5&amp;spn=3.0,3.0&amp;q=39.5,-111.5 (Utah)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Utah<\/a> can stop funding <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Planned Parenthood\" href=\"http:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Planned Parenthood<\/a> <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Clinic\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Clinic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">clinics<\/a> in the state.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Republican Gov. <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Gary Herbert\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gary_Herbert\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Gary Herbert<\/a> ordered the state to cut off the money flow after the Center for Medical Progress released a series of videos earlier this year that brought to light Planned Parenthood\u2019s dealings in <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Abortion\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Abortion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">aborted fetuses<\/a>. Top Planned Parenthood doctors <a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2015\/07\/14\/planned-parenthood-doctor-clinics-sells-aborted-baby-parts-video\/\" target=\"_blank\">talk frankly about harvesting aborted fetuses<\/a>, and clinic staff are seen <a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2015\/07\/30\/latest-planned-parenthood-footage-shows-dissected-fetuses\/\" target=\"_blank\">picking through abortion remains<\/a> in the videos.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The article points out that the Utah clinics do not sell <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Fetus\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fetus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">fetuses<\/a> to researchers, but are affiliated with clinics that do.<\/p>\n<p>The videos that came out about Planned Parenthood were horrifying. I honestly do not understand how anyone could watch them and still support Planned Parenthood. Personally, I do not oppose abortion in cases where the life of the mother is in danger, but that is such a small number of cases, the procedure could be done in hospitals.
