Last week <a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/opinion\/ab-stoddard\/259184-ab-stoddard-caught-in-her-own-web\" target=\"_blank\">The Hill<\/a> posted an article by <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"A. B. Stoddard\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/A._B._Stoddard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">A. B. Stoddard<\/a> about Hillary Clinton&#8217;s rather distant relationship with the concept of truth.<\/p>\n<p>The article notes:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>In the new <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"NBC Universal\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nbcuni.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">NBC<\/a>\/Wall Street Journal poll, even though Clinton beats most GOP candidates, Sanders performs better against them, and she loses independents in every match-up. Her numbers on honesty and trustworthiness, according to Qiunnipiac, are 36 percent to 60 percent \u2014 worse than for any candidate in either party.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is a sad reflection of the values of <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=38.8833333333,-77.0166666667&amp;spn=10.0,10.0&amp;q=38.8833333333,-77.0166666667 (United%20States)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">American<\/a> voters that a candidate who has such a low rating on honesty and trustworthiness is leading the fight for the presidential nomination of the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Democratic Party (United States)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.democrats.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Democratic party<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The article goes on to list some of Hillary Clinton&#8217;s more recent lies:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Clinton said she was transparent, yet her emails were under congressional subpoena for years while she kept her private server a secret.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Clinton said she used one device at State for convenience, but she in fact used several.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>She said her email server was destroyed, but it was not.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>She said she handed over all work emails to the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States Department of State\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=38.8941666667,-77.0483333333&amp;spn=0.01,0.01&amp;q=38.8941666667,-77.0483333333 (United%20States%20Department%20of%20State)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">State Department<\/a>, but then congressional investigators turned up others.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>She said she responded to a routine records request from the State Department and turned over her emails when several other <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Secretary of State\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Secretary_of_State\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">secretaries of State<\/a> did, but State officials were asking for her emails in response to <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Freedom of information laws by country\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Freedom_of_information_laws_by_country\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Freedom of Information Act<\/a> requests and congressional investigations months before that.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Clinton said the State Department affirmed that 90 percent of her work email was<\/strong> <strong>captured on the State.gov accounts of other employees \u2014 a statistic department officials conceded, after she repeated it under oath in her <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Benghazi\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=32.1166666667,20.0666666667&amp;spn=0.1,0.1&amp;q=32.1166666667,20.0666666667 (Benghazi)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Benghazi<\/a> Committee testimony, they know nothing about.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Clinton claimed in March \u201cthere is no classified material,\u201d yet indeed there was.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Clinton has repeated numerous times that the arrangement was \u201callowed,\u201d though no one in the administration has ever said they approved her server. So Democrats \u2014 like Republicans \u2014 assume she is making a misleading statement about her own unorthodox decision to do something no Cabinet secretary had ever before done.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>When asked on NBC\u2019s \u201c<a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Meet the Press\" href=\"http:\/\/msnbc.msn.com\/id\/3032608\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Meet The Press<\/a>\u201d whether she deleted any emails to hide information from future investigations, Clinton said the idea \u201cnever crossed my mind.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>America is a representative republic. We elect our leaders. We get the leaders we deserve.
