A website called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bizpacreview.com\/2015\/10\/13\/cnn-will-go-easy-on-dems-during-debate-anderson-cooper-uncomfortable-putting-contenders-in-face-off-situation-263264\" target=\"_blank\">bizpacreview<\/a> posted a story today about <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"CNN\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">CNN&#8217;s<\/a> plans for the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Debate\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Debate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">debate<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This is the quote that says it all:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>As much as CNN \u201ctrumped\u201d up their Republican debate to get the candidates digging at each other, the network will handle the Democrats with kid gloves.\u00a0 And nobody is expecting sparks to fly, with <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Rush Limbaugh\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Rush Limbaugh<\/a> calling it \u201ca dryball.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Moderator and CNN host <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Anderson Cooper\" href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/andersoncooper\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"twitter\">Anderson Cooper<\/a> said in a Sunday <a href=\"http:\/\/money.cnn.com\/2015\/10\/11\/media\/anderson-cooper-democratic-debate-plan\/index.html?sr=twmoney10112015cooperdemdebate810pVOD&amp;utm_content=bufferaa13c&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter.com&amp;utm_campaign=buffer\">interview<\/a>, \u201cGoing into the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Republican Party presidential debates, 2012\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Republican_Party_presidential_debates%2C_2012\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Republican debates<\/a>, you pretty much knew there were a number of candidates who were willing to [attack each other].\u201d He added, \u201cThat\u2019s not the case, so far as we\u2019ve seen, on the Democratic side.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>\u201cI\u2019m always uncomfortable with that notion of setting people up in order to kind of promote some sort of a face off,\u201d Cooper continued, contradicting the entire format of the Republican debate CNN hosted.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>CNN\u2019s <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Jake Tapper\" href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/jaketapper\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"twitter\">Jake Tapper<\/a> seemed very comfortable getting the GOP candidates to face off against each other.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Translated loosely, what is being said here is simple&#8211;we are hoping that the Republican Presidential candidates will destroy each other and we can appear to be objective. However, we don&#8217;t want the Democratic Presidential candidates attacking each other, as that would provide ammunition for the Republicans during the actual <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Political campaign\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Political_campaign\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Presidential campaign<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports Rush Limbaugh&#8217;s comments on Monday:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>So it\u2019s Anderson Cooper who\u2019s just out front here saying, sorry, we\u2019re not gonna do that, we\u2019re not gonna pit these people against each other\u2026\u00a0 [They] certainly don\u2019t think they have to be critical of people on their own side for credibility, which, sadly, is what many Republicans still believe.\u00a0 That the only way you can be credible as a Republican or as a conservative media person is to be critical of your own team.\u00a0 That proves that you\u2019re not biased.\u00a0 That proves you are not afraid to criticize your own people.\u00a0 Except it never happens on the left.\u00a0 CNN would never, ever, do anything. Now, the candidates might, but CNN\u2019s not gonna do anything to make any of these people look bad.\u00a0 They rally the troops. They circle the wagons. They do everything they can to protect.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The political parties (and the people in them) are entitled to act in any way they please. It is just a shame that\u00a0the mainstream media chooses\u00a0to take sides and the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=38.8833333333,-77.0166666667&amp;spn=10.0,10.0&amp;q=38.8833333333,-77.0166666667 (United%20States)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">American<\/a> voters do not get a clear picture of their choices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One way the mainstream media is showing its favoritism toward Democrat candidates is the way the debates are conducted.
