He noted the lack of <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Flag of the United States\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Flag_of_the_United_States\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">American flags<\/a> at the recent rally. I would also like to mention that\u00a0<a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"The New York Times\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">The New York Times<\/a> chose to use the picture on its front page that did not include <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"George W. Bush\" href=\"http:\/\/www.georgewbushlibrary.smu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">former President George W. Bush<\/a> and his wife <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Laura Bush\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Laura_Bush\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Laura<\/a>. The<a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/worldnews\/northamerica\/usa\/11458490\/George-W-Bush-cropped-out-of-New-York-Times-front-cover-image-of-Selma-march.html\" target=\"_blank\"> U.K Telegraph<\/a> posted an article showing how President Bush and his wife were cropped from the right side of the photo.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/civilrightsmarch.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-26389\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/civilrightsmarch.jpg\" alt=\"civilrightsmarch\" width=\"520\" height=\"492\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/civilrightsmarch.jpg 520w, https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/civilrightsmarch-300x284.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/civilrightsmarch-317x300.jpg 317w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When American flags are absent from a civil rights rally, we have forgotten who we are.
