On Friday The Daily Caller<\/a> posted a story about global warming<\/a>. It seems that the satellite temperature<\/a> data<\/a> tells a different story than the one we are hearing.<\/p>\n

The article reports:<\/p>\n

Since September\u00a01994, University of Alabama in Huntsville<\/a>\u2019s satellite temperature data has shown no statistically significant global warming trend. For over 20 years there\u2019s been no warming trend apparent in the satellite records\u00a0and will soon be entering\u00a0into year 22 with no warming trend apparent in satellite data \u2014 which examines the lowest few miles of the Earth\u2019s atmosphere<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"SatelliteBasedTemperature\"<\/a>The thing to consider here is how government grant money works. If you declare a crisis, it is easier to get a federal grant to study the crisis. Therefore, federal agencies and other entities looking for grant money have a vested interest in declaring a crisis–whether there actually is one or not.<\/p>\n

The article explains that the\u00a0National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration<\/a> recently altered its temperature data in order to show that a hiatus in global warming is not really happening.<\/p>\n

The article further reports:<\/p>\n

\u201cNewly corrected and updated global surface temperature<\/a> data from NOAA\u2019s [National Centers for Environmental Information] do not support the notion of a global warming \u2018hiatus,\u2019\u201d wrote NOAA scientists\u00a0in their study.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The study was highly criticized for inflating the temperature record since the late 1990s to show vastly more global warming than was shown in older data. The warming \u201chiatus\u201d was eliminated and the warming trend over the period was more than doubled.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s been so much criticism of NOAA\u2019s alteration of the sea surface temperature that we are really just going to have to use the University of East Anglia<\/a> data,\u201d Pat Michaels<\/a>, a climate scientist with the libertarian Cato Institute<\/a>,\u00a0told The Daily Caller News Foundation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think that\u2019s going to stand the test of time,\u201d Michaels said of NOAA\u2019s recent adjustments.<\/strong><\/p>\n
