{"id":25541,"date":"2015-05-07T20:29:34","date_gmt":"2015-05-08T00:29:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=25541"},"modified":"2015-05-07T20:29:34","modified_gmt":"2015-05-08T00:29:34","slug":"if-you-ever-wondered-about-the-media-keep-wondering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=25541","title":{"rendered":"If You Ever Wondered About The Media, Keep Wondering"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/sports\/2015\/05\/07\/journalists-hold-tom-brady-to-higher-standard-than-hillary-clinton\/\" target=\"_blank\">Breitbart.com<\/a> posted an article today pointing out that the media is holding <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"New England Patriots\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/New_England_Patriots\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">New England Patriot<\/a>&#8216;s quarterback <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Tom Brady\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tombrady.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Tom Brady<\/a> to a higher transparency standard than they have set for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>\u201cIf he had nothing to hide, then why not give Wells and his investigative team access to records that might help resolve the issue?\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsday.com\/sports\/columnists\/bob-glauber\/tom-brady-needs-to-be-suspended-after-wells-report-takes-air-out-of-his-legacy-1.10399064\">reacts<\/a> a <em><a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Newsday\" href=\"http:\/\/www.newsday.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Newsday<\/a><\/em> writer. \u201cThe fact that Brady would not surrender texts, phone records or emails suggests that there was plenty to hide.\u201d If only <em>Newsday<\/em>\u2019s reporters, <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Op-ed\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Op-ed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">op-ed<\/a> writers, and <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Editorial board\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Editorial_board\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">editorial board<\/a> applied the logic to the former Secretary of State.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>The Wells Report validated Brady\u2019s caution by publicizing salacious private emails extraneous to their investigation. What purpose, other than to embarrass him publicly and harm him professionally, did <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Ted Wells\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ted_Wells\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Ted Wells<\/a> release emails between John Jastremski and his mother suggesting that the Patriots employee absconded with a ball of historic import earlier in the season as ownership believed it possessed the genuine article? \u201cFunny\u2026go to patriots.com,\u201d Jastremski tells his mom. \u201cThey have an article about the 50,000 yard ball\u2026if they only knew :).\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The media has forgotten its responsibility to expose corruption in government.
