{"id":24829,"date":"2015-01-20T17:45:44","date_gmt":"2015-01-20T22:45:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=24829"},"modified":"2015-01-20T17:46:20","modified_gmt":"2015-01-20T22:46:20","slug":"we-need-to-stop-sending-money-period","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=24829","title":{"rendered":"We Need To Stop Sending Money&#8211;Period"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/national-security\/2015\/01\/19\/senator-lindsey-graham-u-s-could-cut-aid-to-palestine-over-icc-move\/\" target=\"_blank\">Breitbart.com<\/a> reported yesterday that Senator Lindsy Graham has stated that existing U.S. legislation \u201cwould cut off aid to the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Palestinian people\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Palestinian_people\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Palestinians<\/a> if they filed a complaint\u201d against <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Israel\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=31.7833333333,35.2166666667&amp;spn=10.0,10.0&amp;q=31.7833333333,35.2166666667 (Israel)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Israel<\/a> in the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"International Criminal Court\" href=\"http:\/\/www.icc-cpi.int\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">International Criminal Court<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There seems to be some basic disagreement as to whether or not the Palestinians have a right to be members of the International Criminal Court.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Barack Obama\" href=\"http:\/\/www.barackobama.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">U.S. President Barack Obama<\/a>\u2019s Democratic administration has said it does not believe Palestine is a sovereign state and therefore does not qualify to be part of the ICC, but has not explicitly threatened to withhold aid.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Any cut in U.S. funds could make it hard for the Palestinian self-rule authority in the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Palestinian territories\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=31.8833333333,35.2&amp;spn=0.1,0.1&amp;q=31.8833333333,35.2 (Palestinian%20territories)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">West Bank and Gaza<\/a> to survive. The U.S. supplies more than $400 million annually to the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Palestinian National Authority\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Palestinian_National_Authority\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Palestinian Authority<\/a>. Israel has frozen a monthly transfer of some $120 million in tax revenues it collects for the Palestinians.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><a class=\"vglnk\" href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/1svRsCF\" rel=\"nofollow\">United Nations<\/a> Secretary-General <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Ban Ki-moon\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ban_Ki-moon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Ban Ki-moon<\/a> has confirmed the Palestinians will formally become a member of the ICC on April 1, after applying earlier this month.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is bogus. During the most recent war with Israel, the Palestinians consistently fired rockets into civilian areas in Israel and then used women and children as human shields when Israel fought back.
