A website called The College Fix<\/a> posted an article by Dr. Terry Hughes, a professor emeritus of earth sciences and climate change at the University of Maine<\/a>, about climate<\/a> change.<\/p>\n

The article states:<\/p>\n

Dr. Terry Hughes, in an interview with The College Fix<\/em>, said researchers want to keep federal funding<\/a> for climate change alive, and politicians<\/a> want to earn environmentalist votes,\u00a0and both predict global pandemonium to that end.<\/strong><\/p>\n

…But Hughes \u2013 who believes global warming<\/a> is actually a good thing because more carbon dioxide<\/a> is good for the environment<\/a> in many ways \u2013 said he does not want to march to that beat.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cToo many (the majority) of climate research scientists<\/a> are quite willing to prostitute their science by giving these politicians what they want,\u201d he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hughes \u2013 who worked for 35<\/a> years at the Department of Earth Sciences<\/a> and the Climate Change Institute at the University of Maine \u2013 said climate cycles overlap with election cycles, which helps politicians \u201cget electoral visibility by pounding the panic drums.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

But what he wants people to understand is that climate change researchers and politicians collude to create fear of a disaster that will never happen.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cYou will never read or hear any of this from the scientific and political establishments,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m now retired, so I have no scientific career to protect by spreading lies.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Hughes points out that increased CO2 levels would be beneficial to agriculture and allow the earth to produce more food. He also notes that some degree of global warming would make more of the earth habitable.<\/p>\n
