John Hinderaker<\/a> at Power Line<\/a> posted an article today about the continuing Democrat party attacks on Charles and David Koch. The article reminds us that “It is rare for the Democratic Party<\/a> to send out a fundraising email that fails to invoke the specter of the \u201cKoch brothers<\/a>,\u201d who are treated essentially as bogeymen<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

The article reports:<\/p>\n

This is unprecedented in our history. Never before has a political party based a campaign on demonizing individual, private citizens who hold opposing beliefs and who exercise their First Amendment<\/a> right to participate in the political process. In my view, it would be a very bad thing if attacks like those the Democrats have made against Charles and David Koch\u2013which, frankly, border on the insane\u2013were to become the norm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Charles and David Koch are American citizens<\/a> who have been very successful in business and are exercising their right to free speech<\/a>. To attack them for their wealth and involvement in politics is an example of class envy<\/a> at its worst. Hopefully the attack will not be successful and will not be repeated in future campaigns. The politics of pitting one American<\/a> against another in the way the Democrats have done is very unattractive.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
