The White House<\/a> recently adopted a new approach for updating Americans<\/a> on the country\u2019s most consequential law. I call it the \u201cneedle in a haystack<\/a>\u201d method: Bury the announcement in hundreds of pages of regulations<\/a> and hope no one finds it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The White House tried a test run\u00a0several weeks ago<\/a>. Hidden in the midst of a 436 page regulatory update, and written in pure bureaucratese, the Department of Health<\/a> and Human Services asked that insurance companies limit the looming premium increases for 2015 health plans. But don\u2019t worry, HHS hinted: we\u2019ll bail you out on the taxpayer\u2019s dime if you lose money.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Crony capitalism, anyone? But it’s more than crony capitalism<\/a>–the White House wants to keep insurance premiums<\/a> down because the health insurance rates will be released before the mid-term elections.<\/p>\n

These may not be the only examples where the administration has lawlessly rewritten Obamacare without letting the American people<\/a> know. The law created at least\u00a011,000 pages of new regulation<\/a>, with more added every day.
