Ms. Bickers is a <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Democratic Party (United States)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.democrats.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Democratic<\/a> staffer and political strategist. Last year, she left her job as a senior adviser to <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"List of mayors of Atlanta\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_mayors_of_Atlanta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Atlanta mayor<\/a> <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Kasim Reed\" href=\"http:\/\/kasimreed.com\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Kasim Reed<\/a> after news surfaced that she had filed a fraudulent financial-disclosure statement.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>In a bizarre turn of events, it seems that Bickers was in the middle of a bitterly contested Republican Senate primary. Two Atlanta-based entities affiliated with Bickers, The Bickers Group and the Pirouette Company, were paid thousands of dollars to make robo-calls on Senator Cochran\u2019s behalf by a <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Political action committee\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Political_action_committee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">super PAC<\/a> that backed Cochran in his bid for reelection. <a href=\"http:\/\/docquery.fec.gov\/pdf\/656\/14941627656\/14941627656.pdf#navpanes=0\">Documents<\/a> filed with the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Federal Election Commission\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fec.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Federal Election Commission<\/a> show that Mississippi Conservatives, the political-action committee run by former <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"List of Governors of Mississippi\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_Governors_of_Mississippi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Mississippi governor<\/a> <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Haley Barbour\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Haley_Barbour\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Haley Barbour<\/a>\u2019s nephew\u00a0Henry, paid\u00a0the groups a total of $44,000 for get-out-the-vote \u201cphone services.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is becoming very clear that some Republicans are as opposed to the Tea Party as the Democrats are. Why? Because some of the Republican establishment has morphed into a Democrat Light party and has lost its way. The Republican establishment no longer adheres to the principle of smaller government and individual freedom.
